Are you sure about the year? I'd guess it's at least the early 90s if not late 80s.
@SteinerFX11 күн бұрын
I think 1997 should be correct

I was talking with a guy who knew Jackie just yesterday. Jackie told him how he and Sonny Rollins would go sit in Monk's kitchen and listen to him practice while Nellie made them both a bowl of oatmeal.

Pharoah Sanders subbed for Gilmore, who left to play with other bands, like Art Blakely for a little while.

Attended NTSU with Billy, Lou Marini, Galen Jeter, Tim Bell, Ed Soph, John Monaghan, Jim Riggs, Dave Kubin, Richard Gardzina, others.... all such great performers. Miss those days, the Fall Concert featuring the One 'O Clock Lab Band was thrilling... electricity in audience was palpable..... everyone waiting with baited breath to hear what sort of musical beauty, magic would come out of Billy's Tenor. Will never forget those golden days of youth. My Bro. and I still playing Jazz and the music of India. Life is sweet...

I am going to cut a hole in a plastic bag and wear it on stage. I do that when the band gives me a hard time for wearing a sweater. My mom gave me that sweater.

How do you get these unreleased recordings ? Furthermore is the name "Fx Steiner" a reference to the Nazi Felix Steiner ?
@SteinerFX2 ай бұрын
no, FX stands for Franz Xaver
