Stossol isn't looking at all bees, just domestic bees. The problem with anyone "reporting the news" is that they are always constrained by their audiences. You can't report anything that will take longer than your audience's attention span or that will exceed their ability to understand. And someone is always going to misunderstand what you reported and give their version of it to other people. For example, people hear bees are dying out. People start planting bee plants or even keeping bee hives. The bee population goes up. Then someone does a story about the number of bee colonies being farmed being at an all time high. So someone else concludes bees were never in any danger anf that all attempts to protect the environment are a waste of time. Stossol is reporting to get airtime and sell his story. He's telling a version of a story. But it's not definitive.

What a terrible video. Not the story, the low quality of the reporting. EVERY company/industry adjusts their workforce whenever ANY cost increases. It could be the cost of toilet paper. The company has no choice but to counter with reduced costs and the easiest way to do that is to reduce their workforce. Stossel used to be a very good reporter with some of the most in-depth work in the industry. From this video it looks like he’s switched to taking advantage of gullible types. Oh, and as far as robots, eventually EVERY manual labor job will be replaced with robotics. It’s cheaper to have 5 engineers maintain those robots that it is hiring 50 manual laborers. As a result, the US is insolvent, and the only way forward is to crash everything and rebuild a new country from the ashes. The perpetrators of this crash are setting themselves to be the king sitting upon the throne of those ashes. Meanwhile, the financial center of the world is quickly being moved to the East to China. China will be the next world financial superpower and the US will have an economy worse than Mexico. At least Mexico produces products. We don't produce anything anymore.
