Funny she claims Christianity to be monotheism yet say God is three in one. If contradiction was a person, they would be nodding in agreement to her.

In my days with spirituality, my belief in Christianity, as well as my struggles with atheism, I have met many spiritual people from all sorts of religions and belief systems. Religions are not the same, no. But there are ultimately very similar. Showing that loving everyone else is essential, staying silent and wise, and other extremely important lessons such as abstaining from wrong doing and being grateful and feeling gratitude towards the blessing and others we have in life. I have also found that those who obsess over which is “right” and how each are different can be frustrated with animosities, sin, and other awfulness. I also firmly agree once you find the one that’s right for you, unless it is your profession to study other religions, solely focusing on the “God” you are of is best, versus this spiritual promiscuity. They may not all be the “same.” But the most popular circumnavigate around a monotheistic all powerful, incomprehensible God of goodness and as far as our own lives and choices go, the importance of acting out of gratitude, peace and love.

Stop with these pathetically weak anecdotes that don’t even make sense. It doesn’t matter what makes you or your child “feel” safe. It only matters if you ARE safe. And an absent invisible sky daddy won’t make you any more safe then your imagination will tell you.

We are safe with God and that's the whole point lol. My advice to you is to take the time to listen, learn, and understand what it is we believe whether you agree or not, instead of coming on here to play gotcha as that doesn't accomplish anything. Also, perhaps refrain from using the term "sky daddy" as that is pretty overused and overdone lol. Have a blessed one.

I know how it feels to believe God is absent from your life. One day He granted me a vision that was so real and so profound, I couldn't deny it was Him. May He grant you the peace and wisdom you're seeking 🙏

Great points 😎. Usually when people say that all world religions are the same they seem to refer to the fact that they all teach similar things of loving one another and treating other how you want to be treated etc. However, to add to Lisa's point, saying that all world religions are the same is like saying all women are the same or all men are the same. There might be some similar things amongst them all but there are also clearly many differences between them 🤔.

My honest question is this: why normalize faith failing instead of tackling the root issues which seems to me like an unrealistic idea of faith being fed to the masses? It’s not working for a reason and the solution has to be more than “just believe anyway”, right?

My life is light and refreshing since I left (dis)organized religion. Am doing deep study like never before and God answers my prayers still. I intended to visit a different church every Sunday, just to have others read a bit of the Bible to me, for a change. So far, in 7 months, my life has been too full to fit church visiting in.

'...though he slay me, yet will I trust him' The ABC's of the gospel is salvation and not that we will always be shielded from the sorrow and grief in this wicked world. I know what it's like to lose someone you love and to struggle with faith. Thank you for courage to share. I know it will comfort others as it did me. I too will hold on to my daddy's hand, to God's unchanging hand... 🙏

So well said! Some passages are descriptive, and some are prescriptive. Polygamy is a description of behavior that God did not prescribe. He's so good and He's better than we know!

I'm exploring so-called "extra-Biblical texts", and when you mentioned that the Ethiopian Bible contains 81 books including Jubilees and Enoch, it occurred to me that 81 (the number of books in the Ethiopian Bible) = 9². The number 9 is generally accepted by theologians and scholars as the number of divine completeness and finality. We know Jubilees, Enoch, and even the book of Jasher were, at one time, included in the Israelite canon because fragments of those books were discovered in the caves near Qumr'an. I've read Enoch, Jubilees, Jasher, Maccabees, Wisdom, Surach, and the other books you mentioned, so I need to get myself a copy of the Ethiopian Bible to see if there are other books my collection is missing. If the total number of books in the Ethiopian Bible is, indeed, 81 (and I have no reason to disbelieve you), that, in my mind anyway, could symbolize ultimate completion, since God seems to work with mathematical symbols often.

This hour and 24mins is why the Israelites are gaining a lot of ground. A lot of times you all aren't even speaking with Israelites outside of the newbies or the ones that may not be articulating the faith well on the street.

Hail brother Bisrat The way you've pointed out how the church in Axum develops Was great I'm sure you've heard of the Rastafari Protest Movement of Jamaica Now I'm a person of Jamaican parentage Born however in England I got to Christianity via the Ethiopian Tewahedo Othodox Church in the 70s But now I'm not so much in the church in fact majority of youths who really identify with the Rastas I am one of them So I call myself a Yesus Dread To negotiate my way through such a movement But hearing you talk of Ethiopia in such ways, my contentions real Blessed thou Brother keep up the work You may see a book of a " testament " Till such time Peace and love

Jesus never said "hold to theology as is taught by Greco-Roman philosophers" and go into all the world teaching the theology of Paul. He said "obey the commandments, follow my teachings in the sermon on the mount, teach about a community called the Kingdom of God".
