Thanks for sharing your thoughts and appreciating my work. I have not even considered Mick Taylor yet and focussed more on the usual suspects. Unfortunately YT makes it hard to publish some original footage for this series due to copyright restrictions.

Thank you for a methodical and thorough demonstration. Too many demos can't seem to get it right like you have here! Have you tried the Sidecar EQ/drive pedal of theirs?
@DizzyKrissi
@DizzyKrissi 7 ай бұрын
Thank you! No, I've not yet tried the sidecar but recently got the "Double Agent" during Cyber-Week. It's ok for what it is and does its job. I also have the "Evil Twin" which is a really good pedal.

Great lick dude ;D !! btw, I see you play lots of SRV, mind making or do u have one where you go a bit more in depth over his vibrato?
@DizzyKrissi
@DizzyKrissi 10 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment - I never thought about that. He uses the same vibrato Eric Clapton uses - not touching the neck with his palm and moving the whole arm to get a very controlled vibrato while holding his hands stiffly.

@DizzyKrissi
@DizzyKrissi Жыл бұрын

I guess you cared more about his left hand fingerings? I included them in the tabs - just like the picking direction so you don't have to miss a thing. I am sorry if you feel uncomfortable with the design decision. Merry x-mas.

@@DizzyKrissi I have found the secret to really being able to nail the EJ/JB cascading pentatonics sound is in the minute details of the picking hand. Like the Troy Grady Cracking the Code Series - very specific and deliberate pick angle, when and how you change strings amid the run, etc. I have the fretting hand speed and accuracy down, just can't get the rapid fire picking style down yet. I do see the upstroke/downstroke notations on the tab. I will take a closer look. Sorry if my comment sounded snappy. Merry Xmas to you as well!

I bought one for my bassguitar (jazzbass) and it's awesome! 😍 All I had to do is switch the toggle to hot and it's exactly what I was after. The warm setting and the stacked modes don't work for bass, so I guess they should have labelled the overdrive toggle guitar and bass 😅
