Today's kids think they're harry potter or a pokemon or some type of wizard from some game / show / app.

Rosa Parks Elementary? This liberaltard school _is spreading lies to our children!!!_ THE SUN DOES NOT EXIST. I *know* it's true because a beer buddy told me.

What I want to know is if the moon is white and transparent and we see it all the time first why does it turn black and why does anyone need to put on glasses This is absurd! And did they have solar sunglasses back in the old days? Seriously this is bullshit!! The Prophets never wore sunglasses!Remember the sign of Jonah and Nineveh? They didn't wear SUNGLASSES!!! And NO ONE went BLIND!! What a bunch of sheeples!

Raquelia Leone really ? This is the moon over the sun . Can you look at the sun right now without glasses ? No because it to bright . The moon is going to cover the light in about an hr. Now you can look at the sun and it will not be so bright (Just like you). What you don't see is the uv rays that are going to burn the shit out of your eyes . ( because you can look at it now, thanks to the moon ) . You can look at a lunar eclipse because that's the Earth blocking the Sun from the Moon. Please feel free to prove me wrong and stare at the Sun for the full eclipse. Let me know how you feel the next day. It's ok I'll wait

So is your vision still good enough to read this after staring at the sun yesterday? But, seriously, I can't believe anyone is THIS ignorant! First off...the moon is not transparent! The rest of it...well...just bwahahahaha! This has to be a joke, because it's just to ignorant not to be!

Cool. I made a similar one out of a frosted mini wheats box. We are viewing from the band of totality in Georgia.

loved the grape experiment! True, the Sun is an amazing creation of God. Without it the earth could not support life. Good info.

No gods are required to form stars, only gravity is needed. And the Earth could still support life even without the Sun.

When you add fun science into learning like this, kids are intrigued and soak it up like a sponge. It's soo important for them to learn about safety like protecting their eyes as it's not something you instinctively know, so they look up to responsible adults like this to know more about the world we live in, and precautions to take to preserve their eye's and health to live to a ripe old age! Some other video is showing how to smoke glass, very bad idea as it filters out very little UV rays and makes pupils open up larger letting in more damaging rays.. tutt tut!

Thank you for your dun and informative video. With the 8/21/17 eclipse coming soon, my 9 year old son has lots of questions. We watched your video together and he was glued all the way through. Thanks again for sharing.

Great job teaching the kids. The flaming grape was a very nice touch! I'm 47 and still playing with lenses, telescopes and pinhole cameras.

I miss being a kid, when everything was so new and amazing. It's like when people reach a certain age they think they know everything and that's that. We can learn as much from children and their curiosity as they can learn from us adults.

2122 views and only 4 comments? That is horrible. I think this video was done quite nicely and I would like to say thank you for posting it. I would also like to thank the gentleman who starred in it. He did a great job keeping the kids' attention. That is a monumental task in and of itself. But, to say it again, very nice video and thank to whomever posted it. Children are hungry for knowledge and science always fascinates them and sadly, times have changed and not as much emphasis is there.
