We live in rural Vermont where we lose our power quite often..the Propane stove top works without electricity... Which can be crucial in January

LOTS of moving parts. What does the maintenance cost do to the savings? Why don't these products rate maintenance and repair average costs with the heat efficiency?

Neo-colonialism? It's not like west isn't funding a colonial takeover of land right this moment. And how many governments have america toppled again? France is manipulating african countries to this very day. It's like every american info outlet is propaganda channel. Have you people ever heard of IMF?

Its hard to imagine that the excess permitting ended up costing you $30,000 for your solar installation. There has to be something else going on why solar costs so much more in the USA.

So many false info. Oil or gas is NOT a Fossil fuel, its a renewable resources. Oil is after water the second most resouces. FACT. Heat pump need to many electric energy (where comes the energy? )absolute not effective. Must generate power Power for a pump to transoert any liquit and goes in a heater. Remove to many energy with the HEAT PUMP from the soil you became a lot of microearthweak. But its not all. I must change to many on your house, must isolate all, must have a air cycle system......

Hi Matt! Right now on the Green Building Advisor website there is an article by Jon Harrod about the Ephoca Cold Climate Heat Pump which doesn't need an outdoor unit. It can mount on the wall or ceiling and you can also get it with an ERV included. There is also video from Taitum Engineering about the unit on this site. Have you heard of them before?

I think of multi-cascading heat pumps by thinking of a roller coaster LSM motors. When you are riding a coaster with multiple, spaced out launch runs, the magnets aren’t more powerful, they just add to each other to increase speed

Saying a 2 ton system equals to a 4 ton is like Apple saying their 8GB of RAM in their macbooks equal to 16GB elsewhere and just factually incorrect. Their 2 ton might able to maintain the same efficiency as a 4 ton air-source system at certain design conditions but it will never be able to move 4 ton of thermal energy.

I love your channel and great enthusiasm for heat pumps, but I never hear a word about noise, both inside and outside. In dense residential areas, it can become a noisy life with many heat pumps. If there is a lot of noise at night when you go to sleep, you lose your night's sleep, and in the long run your health.I suppose you also have noise limits in the US?

Looks like awesome tech. I'm ready to hop on the heat pump train. My house was built in 69', the furnace is from.. 69'. It's a heck of a furnace that literally will never break, but is love to snip the natty gas cord. Once I get solar panels installed it should eventually be a closed loop system.

It’s common and also mandatory in the most of the EU to build energy efficient homes / public buildings etc. The project has to meet high energy standards to even be approved for construction by the authorities. Tripple glass windows, heat pumps, air exchanging units, tons of insulation.. that’s pretty much basic stuff to meet the criteria. Anyway, loved the video

India is building huge solar plants on arid/waste land, even taken on rent from farmers. Indian States are pushing urban roof top solar plants. Indian Govt is enticing farmers to go in for 50% subsidised Solar water pump which after watering fields the solar juice feeds the grid for additional income. Before holier than though talks, I fixed 9kw and 10kw roof top grid connected solar plants - no bills for last year. But always wondered about the land usage beneath solar panels. Agrivoltaics is a superb idea but needs more research in the factory and on the farm. Once economic benefits are Visible to Indian farmers it will trigger the next Green Revolution of India.

There's no use case for this product and it doesn't solve any problem that needs solving, or hasn't been solved. The technology is nowhere near good enough to make it a must have item. It's also way too expensive. Last but not least, there are reports of the Vision Pro screen cracking on some people. The hot takes on this product are accurate.

A black surface radiates more heat. Another part of the improved cooling could be the black surface radiating heat away more easily. Also hot air can’t get trapped under a vertical panel during air convection. I’m also wondering if light hitting the front side can leak through to the back panel.

Nice... If only there was a way to make them indoor farms with the energy gathered from the panels and if we could just save some from there, that would help reducing cost of pesticides, since its indoor and also water retention all the while making some extra buck from the saved energy... It wouldn't be much, but still we ought to get some efficiency compared with the traditional systems...

Balcony solar is not popular because of fire safety codes. Fire fighters do no go over balcony rails with even flower pots hanging off the rails in some places. Most condos do not allow hanging anything on the balcony rail. Also, most condos consider Balcony as common space/property so you can't really do what you want in that space/ living area.

I've got enphase. I like them as they're supported in Home Assistant. My panels and batteries were installed within a few days and were connected to the grid within a week or so. It took my longer to setup and workout home assistant than it did complete my install and connect it to the grid. LOL

I switched to induction in a cheap way. This was 7 years ago when induction was not as popular as it is today but I could see the potential. I bought a portable induction cooktop, basically an induction hotplate. I never use more than one burner at a time so what I did was I removed the resistance coil from my traditional coil stove and mounted the induction hotplate to the stove. After some wiring I have a stove with one induction and 3 resistance cooking surfaces. I can't remember the last time I used the other three. It will boil a pot of water in about 13-15 min. No hot spots, perfect pancakes and grilled cheese. 7 years since I mounted it and it still works perfectly as the day I did my back alley instillation.

How many of you out there see the problem? Capitalism on the markets! Tesla has a solid foundation that created a competitive disaster with inflated prices. Why do you think tesla has been slowing down because the world is creating chaos and instability for the technology. Tesla would of changed the world for people but people around the world created chaos marketing their own brands creating another inflated market that reduced demand for the product. People create inflation from stupidity. Solar for homes should not be on a grid period. That right their caused people demanding to make money off the solar production and the costs spiraled out of control. Slavery to money and the addiction humanity has to cure around the world. Competitive companies with incompatibility within the tech itself like anything else. Even the youtube channels are capitalizing with merchandise. Reality check!!!! Wasted 30 years of my life to help bring awareness and to prepare the world for climate change. I feel like a failure to our world. I honestly don't understand why people don't listen or understand the serious impacts of the daily lives around the world. The solution to climate change is so simple. You can't stop climate change if your trying to capitalize on climate change solutions. The cause and effect of climate change and capitalism is cancelling out and actually making things worse. Now are you seeing the big picture on what researcher solutions actual are. They want to make more money off the problem money created. Inflation hasn't stopped for centuries. Carbon Capture is a scam to capitalize of carbon tax and who pays the tax? Everyone and that will cause more demand for money causing more inflation. Common sense. The researchers are not using common sense or the governments are manipulating the people. The melting of the ice around the world is causing an error in the data people are using. You see all the flooding around the world right. That is rapid condensation like putting a pot on the stove with water and putting a lid on top. When the heat gets intense against that temporary cooling effect natural disasters-global climate crisis will exponentially get worse. Remember the severe droughts and then all of a sudden global flooding in every country. That is the cause and effect of climate change. Throw in rapid escalation of climate change and natural disasters become more frequent. Global Climate Change isn't slowing down it is speeding up. The slavery to money that humanity created is causing global climate change. Concrete produces more heat than grass. Metal produces more heat than wood. Wood dries up and catches fire. Ocean pressure and vibrational activity from human activity along with climate change causes earthquakes and volcanoes to be more active. Inflation causes humans to demand more money so more activity around the world with non essential jobs are created increasing capitalism demands for money. The problem is the demand for money is the cause. Remove money from society and the world will calm down.
