If the key drawing papers stay flush after you take them off the pegs & tape them, what’s the point of taking them off the pegs? Can’t you just keep them on the pegs but leave the inbetween paper off for the tilt & trace? Is it because the peg bar gets in the way?

Yeah, that's the stuff! I've been a digital animator for almost a decade now, and I've started to flip my notebook pages sometimes. Not that I'm less of a cyborg now, but the feeling of analog flipping is really something, and it's so much fun to watch someone who can do this so masterful. A screenshot from here should be in a dictionary under "Muscle memory".

Hey there. Thank you for making this video. I am definitely struggling with cleanup and this video does help a tad bit. I was wondering what would be the alternative to turning a disk since I do not have a disk and I want the best lines possible? I also really struggle to maintain my lines in animation, specifically struggling to prevent them from wiggling throughout my animation. What would be the best tips to all of this?

To do good inbetweens, you need to learn the "inbetweener's flip". That way you can actually see the movement of the animation as you work. Doing an inbetween with only a light box leaves you with a "wire line" with a traced look instead of looking as if it's actually drawn. I learned to do inbetweens with the light on my drawing board turned OFF. Search for the video, "Inbetweening Lesson - By Traditional Animator Scott T. Petersen". This guy knows his stuff.

I wish there's a way you can do what you did at 4:00 in digital. I'm using Krita and still trying to do that. Very nice video sir.

Well, this is one method, but I've noticed inbetweening without flipping the papers is pretty dead. Also doing it that way I would be concerned about the rotation of the limbs - you might actually shift the joint in the arm.

Oh this is exactly my job. I'm an assistant. Doing clean up and inbetween is my daily work. But next year we will use computer to do our work instead of using traditional method like this. I will miss those stuff :)

I don´t get full-screen mode on Yosemite. Ctrl-Alt-Cmd-M gives same result as Ctrl-Alt-Cmd-C. How do I fix this?
