to me joan was playing joan. she always was, and that's why I never liked her. Bette was jane hudson. Bette was a queen, joan was a diva.

You MUST watch A Man For All Seasons (1966) if you enjoyed this. Not as hateful but WONDERFUL dialogue and history. about Henry VIII having his best friend beheaded for standing by the Catholic Church and not taking an oath to him.

I hope more reactors react to this movie, This movie has impressive storytelling techniques, score and cinematography. The meta elements on storytelling itself is just an icing on the cake. Those time jumps are such a big whiplash. And that ending!!!

I hate the racist parts of this movie but it’s so necessary for the time period and the story line. It’s rough until after camp lol

Nice review. The police union persuaded Dan White to withdraw his resignation. Anita Bryant is still alive and one of her grandchildren came out. She also was known when on live tv someone threw a pie in her face.! It’s on KZfaq.

Your reaction is typical of young people of this time. Your parents were probably not even alive during this time. You don't understand how this country was back then, especially in the South. I am not saying this was right in any way, but that's how it was.

@@garymathena2125 What people like you fail to understand when watching my reaction is that I’m well aware that this is what it was like, but it still saddens/angers me that it WAS like that, that there are STILL things that are bad like this, that’s all. I’m not living in a fairytale world where I don’t believe anything bad has ever happened, and it’s insulting that just because I showed emotion about something like this, people think that about me. I’m 28. My parents were born in the late 50s. Do not talk about me in this way as if you know me, it’s disrespectful and insulting.

I blame Candace for snitching & throwing him under the bus. I do not feel bad for her fate near the end at all. Next time, you’ll know better than to run your big ssa loose lips 👄 🚢

Its a great trilogy! The boxer (Paolo) recently hit the media hard for buying sex a couple of years back, he was actually a professional boxer who grew up in the rougher neighborhoods in the late 1980s. So he was already famous before this film came out, It shows that people are both complex and the trilogy is much like reality itself.

19:22 Taraji Henson's character died of a broken heart before the bullets even hit her. But I saw this movie in Theatres and it was just an experience. I hadn't seen anything like that for a long while. Edit: You should also checkout the alternate ending (actually the original ending) of the movie. The one you see on screen is so much better.

The book makes more sense for the faith and science based themes. Especially the ending in the book. Faith and Science are usually seen as opposite but in reality they work in tandem if you truly look.

FUN FACT: Buddy Ebsen (He played Jed Clampett on The Beverly Hillbillies) was the original Tin Man but he had an allergic reaction to the silver make-up. He breathed it in and it got into his lungs and he nearly died so he was replaced by Jack Haley (The Tin Man you see now).
