Omg good job!!! I'm 3 weeks in and seem to be going backwards! I can't raise my leg myself like you can....my quads aren't working.....I was borderline straight legged for 10 years prior to surgery though....couldn't bend my knee past 90, couldn't straighten it all the way....very weak. Perhaps that's why 🤔

Okay, wow! Isn’t she an anomoly though? 2 weeks no pain? Was she born without pain receptors?😂 She looks like she’s at 120 degrees. I hope I can get there. I’m 4 days post-op and feeling discouraged. I was 86 degrees at day 1. I can straighten completely. But my muscles are so damn week especially my quadriceps that I can’t even lift my leg. I’m trying to find as much info as I can because my dr told me nothing. Thank God for PTs, because without them I’d be lost.

@@christyethomas4575 I had mine about 6 weeks ago now. I was just kneeling in church. I’m flexing at 135-140 degrees and that happened by week 4. My knee is now the least of my problems. Don’t put it off, but go into it as strong as you possibly can. I tried but not in enough time. My quadriceps wouldn’t fire for about 10 days. So my knee was constantly giving out. I had a fall after I advanced to cane. But it was in soft grass. Thankfully a man was able to lift me while I pushed off with my other leg because I’d have been laying there a long time! 🤣 To be honest the first 2 days were a breeze but the following week was awful for me. I was and still am dealing with quite a bit of sciatica which was triggered with surgery but I have a history of it. And I need a the gluteus medius muscle reattached to my left hip so like I said my knee is nothing now. By 3 weeks you should feel pretty good. Really. I’m an RN and that is the majority of people. Now if you are morbidly obese then this doesn’t apply unfortunately. Recovery usually takes much longer. Just push yourself.

Must MUST do your moving .. if you don't push yourself it we for Nothing.. l had it n wish you all the very best. Bob n Brad on KZfaq are great. You must be able to eventually keep that leg straight! If you keep sitting or w knee slightly bent it w STAY basically.. then one leg w be *shorter* bec of the position you keeping it in.. That w screw up your back n then digestion .. l know you can , even if you gotta take meds at this point.DO IT 👏🏽🫶

Where is the bruising? No Surgeon would encourage a TKR to walk without assistance like that
