When I cut my hair, I have a plan on what to do and try to keep some length up top. Then, I lose confidence in using clippers on back and back side of my head and just end up with a 2 or 3 on top lol.

So if I understand correctly you cut vertical sections with no horizontal guide line? .... do you just pick a little of bit of previous vertical section as guide line for next vertical section if you cut sides?

I am not quite sure what the f*uck is problem with barbers when they see man with hair on top longer than 15 cm(~6 inches) they feel some irresistable urge to cut it all of!? It started excellent, but this finish on top is criminal! It would be so much better if you just made a simetrical sidepart, that is gradually shorter from fringe to back. In that way there is no need for products every day, just let it flow naturally, and when you want something more elegant or formal, put some pomade on, make a side part, and you are good to go! I really pray for all the man around the world, that this type of criminal haircut acts will never be repeated again! 🙏🙏🙏
