@Mark Decola What is that on the torque converter in your old trans looks like an installer of something? Chrysler torque converters suck lol I rebuild and r&r transmissions daily lots of dodges if there is a tool to help install the TC I'd be interested!

Great video. I have 13 and filter is easy to get to fyi. I’d appreciate a more in-depth getting the truck to tdc. Do you just keep bumping the starter or manually turn it? Otherwise love your content after I stumbled across this video and checked a few other videos out.

I’ve had mixed opinions on oil color. Some people say it should be black because it’s grabbing all the soot and if it’s clean then it’s not doing it’s job. Obviously we there’s some validity to it by theory on what the oil is supposed to do for these trucks

6.2 Diesel gets about 25mpg these days, 20-ish with a moderate load. Git the twin 10-gallon tanks (still work!) And a 100 (110) gallon transfer tank. With that math, that's about 2500 miles between fill-ups if you don't mind topping off after meals.

Plastic fuel tanks should be illegal.
@albinklein76802 ай бұрын
Why? There is nothing better than a nylon fuel tank. Much more reliable, no rust issues, lighter, no seams to break.
@yt_alphagaming79402 ай бұрын
Says someone who doesn’t live in the rust belt gtfo😂😂😂 millions don’t feel like paying 3x more for a tank too have it rust away on them after 2-3 years while the plastic tanks will just laugh. Retarded opinions should be illegal but here we are

Chevrolet should have a hot shot package.... A fuel tank like this 60 gallon. Air ride suspension with leveling valves. Air ride seat with exceptional travel. Bumper with locking storage for bumper hitch, tools and sealed to protect from the elements.

You don't change oil because it wears out, you change oil because it's dirty. Extended oil changes are insanity. Great marketing though. People will believe anything.

Your video helped a lot. I just did mine yesterday, they look great! On my '12, after pulling off the passenger side A pillar trim there was a white and green wire that supplies power for cab lights, mirror lights, etc. I tapped the cab light power wire right into that and it works off the headlight switch now.

I run Red Line full synthetic and an Amsoil 2 micron bypass filtration system. With oil analysis I can easily get 25,000 mile change intervals. Soot that the full flow filter doesn’t catch (between 2 and 20 microns) is what causes wear in a diesel
@matt847124 ай бұрын
I have been using Shaffers. Was looking into red line. Ive always used it on my bikes. Never thought that red line made diesel oil till I saw it at Summit. Want to do the oil bypass too.

Valve clearences are overlooked on alot of engines not just cummims. To loose induction timing is not right. To tight burnt valves here we come.😂 As far as service intervals go oil & filters are cheap compared to rebuilds. Sooner rather than later wins everytime.

Does lift pump do anthing as a lift pump is only a few psi even if it's 20 or 30psi a diesel pump puts out like 30.000psi @ minimum? Having an extra say 10psi wouldn't really do anything but burn out the pump?
