We use two wheel odometry (one forward, one sideways) with rotation sensors for position tracking. Then we use PID with LemLib for movement.

Yes, it still uses arcs for calculating distance. Instead of using 2 forward wheels we use an inertial sensor. Also we don’t use the drivetrain wheels in our calculations.

Thank you! Basically, we added a lot of wait time because the rings sometimes fly out if we are intaking while moving fast. Without the wait time, we would have additional seconds to do other scoring. But currently, our theoretical max is 55 points, and we programmed it for 51 points, so we didn’t see a point to making it more efficient.

we use Off-White Nylon Unthreaded Spacers, 1/4" OD from McMaster-Carr. they are legal

It's acetal a.k.a. delrin.

To center the screw we use bearing flats on the inner side and motor inserts on the outer side. We use brass inserts for wheels. Check the drivebase explanation video.

We mainly just use PID. The JAR template has a good structure and shows a good way of implementing this in your code.

We laser cut some parts and hand cut others, then used sander.
