So awesome to see these two rocking together again. Their relationship as Enid and her art teacher was one of the best parts of the movie, in my opinion. Their relationship was so complex. It was impersonal and kind of dismissive, but both characters ended up having a deeply transformative effect on the other. It's like their egos didn't like each other, but their spirits recognized and resonated with each other. Brilliantly subtle in its depiction.

Hoffman fully admitted he slapped tf out of Meryl Street and that he taunted her with her deceased bf to get emotion. He literally said all this himself. The slap was the 1st take of the 1st scene, i believe, and this was her 1st movie.

I went to see the Jersey Boys show and I was flabbergasted at all the vulgarity, I was ashamed to have my 10-year-old granddaughter there with me, so I just got up and walked out with her, I will never see a Jersey Boys show again. And I demanded a refund.
