I am wondering. I produce, well at least I'm trying, over a decade. I have some tracks completed, but I ALWAYS have this doubt that the track isn't that good.. I wonder if you, with all that experience, have the same doubts? I mean, for this track specifically if you had it? Don't get me wrong, this track is WOOOOOW!! I am just wondering if even with all the experience, and with such a good track, you too felt as I feel for each track I complete. ❤️❤️❤️
@PsigerКүн бұрын
I do have that sometimes but I usually make notes on where I need to improve it. And then I just work them until there are either none left or I hate the track so much that I cannot work in it anymore 😅 at some point then I think art needs to be abandoned. But tbh I stretch that sometimes very long as ai really think that quality is a huge lever as so much music gets released out there.

Psy isn't a style i ever make, but the whole history of the genre is chock-full of so many lessons we can learn from in any genre. I come from breaks, where we tend to draw from a very eclectic palette, but i think this could all apply just as well to house, UKG, whatever. Biggup from the broken side of the beat ❤
@Psiger6 күн бұрын
Tbh I love using break beat drum loops in some tracks. I guess Psy is really heavy on the production side so that's why i it has some universal stuff. But a lot of things can be baked into other genres / or even the merge gets a new genre on it's own. :)

Really helpful stuff. My aim is to create my own trance tracks on ableton and dj them live.. There doesn't seem to be much info on this. It's either clips like this about production which are great for me, or videos about Serata/Rekord box centred on mixing tracks by other artists. So would I need to get Ableton and Serata? Cuz we're talking hundreds there.
@Psiger12 күн бұрын
Do you mean playing a set with Ableton e.g. having stems of K&B and sound clips you want to trigger?
@molloyzer112 күн бұрын
@@Psiger I would be open to trying it that way. Might add more scope for creativity with stems, but i noticed most psy Djs having decks and a laptop. They highly recommended Ableton live but I'm just unsure of where to go from there or if i need Serato/Rekordbox at all. How would you play your own material live?
@Psiger5 күн бұрын
I DJ my stuff the full tracks. I'm more the producer type so I want to make it easy for my sets, nothing too complicated.
@molloyzer18 сағат бұрын
@@Psiger Thanks for your feedback and i aim to do the same. I'm just starting and making loops that resemble psytrance, so not a bad start but how so I bounce something to audio?

Fuckin el. Great tutorial. That section you are improving sounds amazing. I'd love to be able to create something like that. Do you have one of your tutorials which can best guide me through the process of creating something like that in the first place?
@Psiger22 күн бұрын
Hmm maybe I can see if I can make one but its sometimes hard to create those things in one go on point, if you know what I mean ✌️
@auroratranceaudio746522 күн бұрын
@@Psiger thanks man! I feel I've made great progress on so many psytrance styles but this sort of section is something I've never really seen covered very well on yiutube. I guess it's hard cos it's a complex grid synth sort of thing so needs lots of individual sounds making?
@Psiger5 күн бұрын
I made a new video showing the making of such a grid: How to Make Grids / Gridsections - Psytrance Tutorial Ableton kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l7t4pNGTqJerYn0.html

You've taught me that I need to spend more time learning how to use the session view. I'm relatively new to ableton and I live 95% of the time in arrangement view. Those triggering rules are really interesting!
@PsigerАй бұрын
Yes, the arrangement view is more important but the session view is definitely worth exploring!
