Yes to all. This is the AA equal length mid pipe as well as the AA gen2 rear section. I also have an SST Valve Controller installed.

I’m all stock, about to pull the trigger on gen 2 resonated el mid pipe (I’m assuming that’s what you have too, can u confirm?), gen 2 axel back, and am curious to know from you if you ran your set up without valve controller at all, and if you did, how big of a difference the valve controller makes. Haha no worries. I did the videos so people didn’t run into that same problem I did - nowhere to hear the exact setup. So this midpipe is the non-resonated version. It will be louder. I did not try it without a valve controller but the SST has a “half open” setting that simulates stock opening. It is quieter than full open. I personally think it’s too quiet but I like to hear the exhaust with the windows down and I’m on the highway. I would highly recommend the SST controller.

@@cadreperformance I think I’m gonna run it without valve controller first to see if it’s good enough for me. I don’t love the idea of another remote/switch that’s not fully integrated in the car already. Maybe that’s minor and I shouldn’t trip off it but still. Poring through forums for this exact set up, the nuggets I pick up point to valve controller being necessary tho😫

Not the worst idea. Saves you some $$ too. I will say there is the stock operation mode on the SST if you prefer it that way. Regardless you’re going to love the AA EL sound. These videos do not do it justice - it sounds phenomenal.

I installed it with the exhaust. I just figured out what buttons “C” and “D” do thought 😄

I have done some, really I started doing this so I could hear my own exhausts and now I do it so my friend across the country can hear my setups. Whenever I get a new car or exhaust I will make videos of them.

1) Nope, exactly the same exhaust for both that m3 and m4. 2) the xdrive (awd) is noticeably faster. For 2025 the xDrives have more horsepower as well.

I need to tweak the placement a little for the mic but overall I feel it sounds really close to in person.

Thanks Brandon. I would say when the valves are closed it’s in between the stock closed and stock open for volume. It is definitely louder on cold start with the valves closed but not nearly as loud when compared to the stock valves open.

Thanks. I agree it sounds great and am really happy with the result. I tried a lot of exhaust setups on my F80 M3 but couldn’t get the S55 to sound how I wanted. It’s tough to compare it to an MB V8 as those sound amazing in person, but for a straight six I am very pleased.

That’s a good question - for me the biggest difference is it does feel faster but I don’t notice any more burbles. I also like the updated iDrive and HVAC vents.

I have never had to pay for any feature subscription (besides satellite radio) on a BMW. I don’t know if that made it to the US.

@@cadreperformance I was memeing dryly, my bad, I'm a big fan of the M series, from a car culture standpoint, and I THINK the EU sued both Mercedes-Benz AND BMW and won for that whole thing being anti-consumer (Because every single vehicle was equipped with the modules to operate the seats apparently, instead of having separate vehicles with separate options, as you'd expect)

@@cadreperformance wow did it come with that remote start?? Or you did it with aftermarket accesorios. I asked because bmw used to claim that they didn’t put remote start because they don’t want the car idling cold . That the better way to warm it up is by gently driving it.

@@fraisergaragetv2030 it’s factory key fob remote start. I remember BMW used to say that but this one came with it standard. I think they gave that reason because they didn’t offer it and had to give a reason that didn’t make them look bad lol.

Maxwell Rose that’s tough but I do miss the manual transmission. The X3MC is a much better daily driver, though. If I had to do it all over again, I would still get the X3MC.
