The problem is all the cash needed demands sure things be produced. That's why so many cheap horror flicks are made. The only way is to make a low budget independent movie with CGI and then hope a studio promotes you to the big leagues. Soon AI will be making the movies, so it may get better or a lot worse.
@TelcomTransmissions4 күн бұрын
You're spot on about the cash demands driving the need for sure things. It's crazy how many cheap horror movies get churned out just because they guarantee a profit. Going the indie route with a low budget and some solid CGI seems like the best way to break in these days. The whole AI making movies thing is a wild card, though. It could bring a fresh wave of creativity, but it could also end up just cranking out formulaic stuff. Here's hoping it leads to more innovation rather than just more of the same!
@zebbailey17272 күн бұрын
@@TelcomTransmissions I strongly believe that "ai is an insult to life itself". Cause I can't look at something that is done by Ai and find it interesting; I literally feel like throwing-up, so I believe ai should be forbidden in filmmaking and art. Filmmaking is an art-form. Ai is disgusting to me.
@TelcomTransmissions2 күн бұрын
@@zebbailey1727 I understand and respect your feelings on this topic, and it's important to have these discussions. However, I disagree with the idea that AI should be forbidden in filmmaking and art. AI can be a powerful tool that enhances creativity rather than replaces it. Many filmmakers and artists are using AI to push the boundaries of their work, exploring new techniques and ideas that weren't possible before. It's also worth noting that art and filmmaking have always evolved with technology-from the introduction of sound and color to digital effects and CGI. While AI-generated content might not resonate with everyone, it offers a new dimension of possibilities that some creators and audiences find exciting and inspiring.

George is part of the dying breed that actually had creativity and originality and did their version of what they wanted to do. SW is one of the few franchises where it actively tries to do something different and bring in new concepts to the table. Especially with blockbuster films, studios want what is familiar and the age of studios taking chances on something new and fresh are gone at this point. It’s extremely scary honestly. George is right - there might still be creativity but studios aren’t willing to take the chance anymore and they just wanna give people repetition. Even with sequels, they want the same thing and not something different. With SW, every film is completely different. No one film is the same and that is sort of Star Wars’ charm.
@TelcomTransmissions4 күн бұрын
I totally agree with you! George Lucas really did pave the way with his creativity and vision. Star Wars stands out because each movie brings something new to the table, unlike most franchises that just recycle the same ideas. It's sad to see studios playing it safe these days, sticking to what they know will sell instead of taking risks on fresh concepts. George's willingness to push boundaries is what made Star Wars so special and memorable. It's definitely scary to think that originality might be fading in Hollywood.
