I have the same car and I cannot for the life of me, figure out how to turn on the lower headlights, not the signal lights, the lower headlights, I saw them working upon its first startup in 32 years but I was not in the drivers seat so I can’t figure it out. How do I turn them on? I am genuinely asking

I love the ones with rounded rear wells. I’m in the process of putting a wagon body on an Envoy Denali chassis. Has the 5.3 in it. It’s working out well considering the wheelbase on both are 104”

I've got an '88 that's got 79k original miles. Just had it painted with the original dark blue. It's not pristine, but for living outdoors and being driven hard in the mountains, it's better than most. It's not lifted, but it's got 17" rims and some tall, skinny mud tires. Only mechanical failure has been one of the hub locks and a fuel pump. Oh, and somehow when I was in highschool the muffler failed and came off 😉

Now...that's a MAN"S truck. So is my 1970 F-250. Previous owner put in a 460 with headers, low-rise intake, with Holley carb and C-6 auto. The diff is Dana 60 with 3.83 gears. It is a gas hog but, I didn't buy it for milage.

Not to sound like a know it all here. Back in the early 70s, VW released their 3.875 ring and pinion ratio as an alternative to their 4.125 used for the 1500 and 1600 Beetle. However, the 3.875 gear box didn't make that much of a difference as it had 6% more overdrive than the 4.12. 4.12 had a 0.89 4th gear, 3.875 had a 0.93 4th gear. The freeway flyer has a 3.875 final drive and 0.89 4th gear.
