I'm glad someone else notices Eloise's inability to pay attention to her friends. Penelope never said anything about not wanting to get married. And when Cressida said her father would marry her off she made an unhelpful joke about it. She is a little self centered.

Things is, even if Colin was to hate Penelope for the LW thing, I don't think he can withdraw his proposal without ruining her forever, and it would be very bad of him to do that. Why? Because it's his damn fault she had no time to even consider telling him about LW. He is the one who did not court her right. He was so busy trying to run away from his feelings, and wallowing, that he always chose the worst times to try. He interrupted her dance with a man actively courting her in front of everyone, and he left very publicly. All his staring, and getting close, and helping her. If he is not to go through with the wedding, she will be left unmarriable, because his behavior is crazy. He almost kissed her in the middle of the ball, interrupted a dance, and was rude as fuck to Lord Debling. Of course, he is a man, so it would never go bad for him. If he were to leave her because of Whistledown, which fine, is his right, he would be ruining her life. LW would be all she has, and most likely she wouldn't be able to keep doing it, so she would be at the mercy of her sisters, not even having the LW money anymore. So I hope while he has the right to be mad, he isn't selfish (i know realistically they end up together, but well). Also, it shows how Eloise is selfish and not a good friend. An ultimatum when she knows women are the ones who always suffer when shit goes wrong and when she knows Penelope has no other prospects. She has no idea of her privilege. Her brothers would never leave her destitute, but that isn't true for Penelope or Cressida. Very selfish.

I'm certain it'll all the fine. That's the beauty of this series. We go in each year pretty confident, that although there may be obstacles along the way, it'll all end happily. I think it's another reason the show does so well.

Hi, I love your videos. I think Colin talking about Penelope in front of Eloise doesn't nothing have to do with her and the relationship they have. The Bridgertons knows Pen for years it's normal that they would have an affection about her and misser her. They aren't trying to make Eloise feel bad, they feel bad because Eloise is not friend of her anymore. It's not easy for anyone.

In regard to Violet….a lot of people hated her in season 2 because they felt that she almost forced Anthony to become man of the house after their father died, but it happened quickly after. Yes Anthony had so much trauma from that but although the show is not meant to be a history lesson, it’s a drama piece…..it does show us what life was like back then, at least in England. The women back in the 1700’s-1800’s especially in England had no rights or choices not even the ones who belonged to a wealthy, prominent family either by birth or by marriage. Due to societal standards women weren’t to do anything but to just be sitting ducks, maybe practice religion, marry, and once they married…..had kids, hell they weren’t even allowed to have an actual education (you’ll notice that in season 1 when Portia scolds Penelope for reading because it would confuse her thoughts, and in Queen Charlotte when her brother blamed himself for Charlotte being a “smartass” because he allowed her to read too much after their parents died.) Also, in terms of if the husband/father were to die, the choice on who leads the house isn’t up the the mother/wife, society made it so that only the men were in charge which meant if there were sons….the first born son would become head of the house. Anthony becoming head of the house wasn’t Violet’s doing, nor was that her fault or choice because by social standards she had no choice. Plus, I think people forget….she was going into labor, nearly died in the process, and watched her husband die hours earlier….so she went through trauma as well.

A bit more private, less formal part of the house where you can literally "withdraw" to hang out with your family or guests. So basically it's an old timey name for living room or family room. 🙂 Personally, I would love to have a room dedicated only for drawing, though. 🤔

I did not like the brothel scene either, but I think they did it on purpose to show that he is trying to be some sort of experienced daredevil, even though that is not his real personality. Love that Kate and Anthony are back since they are heads of the house but I understand why we only got them in this first episode so far. The season is pretty overstuffed and Polin is taking center stage while we still have Benedict, Eloise and now Francesca building up in the background. I too wanted to know about Edwina especially since they referenced her twice but it is kept open in case.
