I may have missed it, what caliber is that thing? You move the rear sight same way you want the bullet to move. Front sight is opposite way. Thanks!

Keep checking the screws after shooting it a few time. They like to work lose i put a little loc tight on mine seems ok now. . And i had burs everywhere i filed down. Mine came with two cylinders. A lr and a mag both a five shot. But for what i paid its not a bad little plunger just gotta know what to look for when buying these plungers. My opinion. Its good enough for snakes and such

The difference is based upon the velocity and mushing of the 30-06. I wouldn't want to be hit with either, but the 06 will greatly outperform the slug after 75 yards. Less than 75 I would presume it to be about equal to a deer.

Rifle rounds are incredibile powerful.30-06 got same amount of energy at 260 yards like shotgun slug at 30 yards. And same drop like slug at 80 yards😊.Rifle power.30-06.❤Beast 😊

Like the other fellow said, you can pull up utube videos on how to fix the 742, they were notorious for jamming. I had one in 308 that jammed at least once per magazine, and it turned out to be a faulty magazine!

I know a guy in Alaska that says a good 12 gauge shotgun with Breneke slugs is better bear defense / knock down power than any rifle ever. I agree ☝️ But I would not feel under gunned with a .30-06 either .

Nice rifle! I have a much older 300 Savage 99 with the rotary magazine. The rear sight was deleted and a Lyman peep installed on the tang. I just picked up a .308 LEE loader, but have not used it yet. It will feed my NEF Handi Rifle and a Remington 760. Loved your video on the 7400 semi auto!

Make shoure you’never shoot a slug through a full choke you will distroy the barrel you will blow out the chock use a modified or improved cylinder things like this should be notated in these types of vidos
@JG-six-gun2 ай бұрын
I wondered about that. I use a gun with an improved cylinder, but thanks for the comment.
@luvtahandload76922 ай бұрын
@@JG-six-gunA lot of slugs are in a plastic sabot and/or are made of soft lead. You won't "distroy" your full choke barrel.😅 Always take with a grain of salt what someone says who flunked out of spelling skool. 😅 Thanks for the vid!

Very interesting. I've used Lee Loaders for shotgun shells, rifle & pistol. Of course a press is easier & that's what I normally use, but it's good to do things the old fashion way once in a while. That may be all you have one day. Thanks for the video & good luck.

Large rifle magnum primers can push pressure well over SAAMI maximum average pressure when they are substituted for the standard large rifle primer that any particular load calls for. There is a good article about this in the latest Hodgdon Reloading manual. I'd suggest that you obtain a good reloading manual from one of the major bullet manufacturers such as Speer, Hornady, Sierra, or the like and commence studying it. Be the best investment you could make. Commit to learning all you can about reloading. You won't regret it, I promise.

I took up reloading in the early Eighties when I was in my early twenties. An Old Timer I worked with asked me, "Do you know what you're doing"? I said, "I think so". He said, "I hope so". He then told me a story. In the early Sixties, he was hunting in New Mexico. They were told that a sixteen year old kid was missing. They formed search parties. They found him dead. Part of his forehead was missing. He had blown up a rifle in his face. He said, "I helped carry him out of there on a stretcher". "We heard later that he had taken up reloading & apparently didn't know what he was doing". I have repeated this story many times to beginner reloaders as a warning. I still get choked up when I think of that young man.

If you want to keep your reloading footprint small, I would suggest one of Lee's very small, single stage presses. That way you can use full length sizing dies, but in a very small bench press. It's much smaller than the press in the big anniversary loading kit.
@swagger1773 ай бұрын
I would reccommend a tang sight, those holes at the back and front of the reciever, you just rethread the screws through to fit it. If you want a scope, should be able to put a weaver on there through those holes, if there is not one, or scope rings. Thanks for the video, I find they cycle a little tight.

A .22 single action is just plain, cheap fun...lots of folks get hung up on the brand or the features, when the true bottom line is cheap ammo through a cheap gun...I take mine to the range, being ultimate accurate takes a backseat to the leisure pace of operating the firearm, no hurry at all...

I am a bit surprised your ammo works with a lever action, but it looks like you have to work the action pretty hard to cycle rounds. In fairness, Lee does say that this reload system should not be used on lever rifles, only bolt, but hey, if you are happy that’s what counts! I reload 22-250, .270 and 30-06 with my Lee classic loader, I find they work flawlessly, for a lot less initial capital outlay than a turret. I have 5 reloads on my 22-250 brass with no sign of stress. And it’s deadly accurate! I paid for mine with the first 20 rounds I reloaded (in each caliber). I use a scale for powder, the dipper is pretty conservative, and I follow a Lyman reloading manual. Everyone says they are slow, but I really enjoy the process. Thanks for the video! Now, do you have a semi auto you might want to try out?
