Y'all absolutely need to clip that "you suck" rant for a short. That's 1M views, guaranteed

this is such an amazing concept. i’ll be tuning in for the 1500 games since that’s around my rapid rating

am 1750 and I think you can learn anything from Aman's thought process against any of these elos imo. Wouldnt write it off until 1500.

1100-1200 was under an hour; 1200-1300 was 2 hours; 1300-1400 just over 2 hours. 1400-1500 under an hour. 1300 toughest rating, confirmed.

not a top tier opening but definitely what I used to get from 600 up to 1000 (thanks to your old speedrun, Aman) before switching to the Taimonov!!!

I'm watching this series from beginning as a serially frustrated 800-1000 player who can never seem to push past that plateau. Genuinely been stuck round that rating range for YEARS. Hoping I'll retrain my brain a bit round the board.
@claudefrechette730010 күн бұрын
Dude I think your series is awesome. I got into chess very late (80yo!) and wasted time on books, and more books. Ok I learned some theory but not how to play. Thanks for showing me 😊😊😊

Also, dont think I'd ever play 7. Nf5. I get the point of attacking g7 i guess, but it just looks really superficial

I had a 1879 play 4.Ne5 against me yesterday. I was just as confused. I tried f4 and the computer did not like it.

Just watched this video (3 years late is not too late) and then won a game right after with 0 mistakes, 0 blunders, 0 misses. Opponent resigned after hanging his Queen. It's like playing solid, fundamental chess is a cheat code.

Never seen him play c5, nc6 before. Can anyone explain the reason for the change from normal habits?Isit something he recomends specifically when opponant begins with D4? Thanks, stellar series
@RG00110012 күн бұрын
One of the things that's unique about this showcase of habits is getting to catch things Aman is (deliberately) missing. I think he explained that a move in bullet now is better than a good move 5s later. But, still.

So the strategy is: mindlessly trade down into an endgame, then play the endgame at a GM level and win. Got it.

Good game. I saw Be2, but don't think I could have finished that to a draw like he did. Not sure I would have found the idea of brining the bishop to the back rank. I'm about 2k rated
