That section of the A1 highway (Margina - Holdea) was not constructed yet because it includes a very long tunnel (about 2km), and it was simply too expensive at the time. Construction is set to start in May/June 2024 and is expected to be finished by end of 2025 - beginning of 2026. Also in 2024 we will finally start construction on the 2 sections of the A1 highway that will cross the Carpathians (from Sibiu to Pitesti) and will connect to the other part of the A1 highway that goes all the way to Bucharest. If everything goes right, by 2028-2030 the A1 and A0 (Bucharest ring) highways will be completed and you will be able to go from the border with Hungary all the way to the Constanta Port never leaving the highway (A2: Bucharest - Constanta already completed). These projects are already in different stages of construction now. A1, A0, along with A7 (under construction), A3 (under construction) and A8 (which is close to opening tenders), when they will be ready, will finally unite all parts of Romania, achieving our long time goal of unification through highways. It is something that we Romanians really need and we've been dreaming about it since pretty much forever. It will be a huge achievement and will sky-rocket our economy. We have a huge potential for growth, and when these projects will be finished (and I am sure they will), Romania will finally start looking like a modern country. There are of course so many things to do, especially railways are in a desperate situation right now. But you know, one thing at a time. We will get there.

@@Cubeman310 Well it's long for us, maybe I should have mentioned. Just now on the A1 highway we are constructing the first highway tunnel in the whole country (it's about 1.8km), so yea, 2km is a record. 😅

I've been using mine for over 2 years now and it still works perfectly. You just have to clean the filters once a month and repalce them after a year or so.
