Tbh...as a Walmart employee...we think it's ridiculous af too...but the decisions to lock up stupid shit come from corporate or the product manufacturers. And just like other jobs, we have procedures to follow for shoplifting so we don't get our asses fired. Videos like this make us seem like idiots. Entitlement doesn't look great on you...

My mum actually would let me get crop tops because she knew she didn't have to worry. I would only get crop tops if I couldn't find the shirt with the same print and the shirt not be cropped. My mum didn't worry because I'd always wear a normal shirt under it (usually long tank tops). So, yea. She knew she didn't have to worry

Just a PSA, you are not required to show a receipt, it's also not a policy for them to ask, you can tell them no and if they attempt to detain you on "shop rights" they have to have present proof that you stole. And can be charged with kidnapping if they don't.

Walmart employee here It is actually are policy however we don’t stop and ask anyone we have things we look out for and if u say no u cannot hold the customer (unless ur a manager) so if u walk past you’ll probably be fine and also just curious as an employee that’s literally told by management to check receipts why if yall aren’t stealing why can’t yall just wait 2 more seconds for us to look over ur receipt and tell u to have a good day and why y’all sometimes get mad at us and cuss us out for doing are job so we don’t get fired we can’t tell a manager no
