Here’s a story I randomly came up with which sorta goes with the lyrics lol. You wake up. You’re weightless. You’re surrounded by tiny dots. The sky is black. This must be space. You’re not in a spaceship, not a spacesuit, but you’re flying through space. You can see galaxies, star clusters, planets, nebulas, everything. “Where am I? And how did I get here?” You think to yourself. A loud booming voice erupts from all around you. It sounds like it’s coming from everywhere, from something giant, but it’s soothing. It doesn’t sound like something that would try to harm you or anyone or anything. “The fifth dimension.” It answers your thought. Somehow it knows what you’re thinking. “How you got here does not matter.” It tells you. “This is everything. All of the time. Anything you could imagine is here. The entire universe at all of the time at the same time. Any moment you could think of, any imagination that brain of yours can think of is here. The ancient Romans are here, the moment you were born is here, the edge of your past universe is here, same with all the parallel ones. “But… how did I get here? And who are you?” You ask. “It does not matter who I am. But I suppose I will tell you how you got here, if that’s really all you’re worried about right now. What’s the last thing you remember?” It asks you. “Uhh… well there was this big… monster, I think.” You tell the voice. “That is correct. The Monstrum Malum. Do you remember what happened?” “Uh, yeah. It tried to grab me. With its giant hand. And I remember my necklace…” your voice trails off. You look down at your chest, and there, hanging from your neck, is the same heart shaped diamond from before. “Was that the end?” You ask. “I’ll show you.” The voice says. Suddenly, all the galaxies, stars, and everything that makes interstellar space starts spinning around you. All the tiny dots and splotches of color are just blurs. After a few moments, it comes to a stop. In front of your eyes, you see a planet. Planet Earth. It zooms in to give you a view of a small island. You can see a cliff on one edge where there’s a field in front of a thick forest. Then you see… you. Standing there. Smiling. With a sword about to fall out of your hand. In the field filled with rocks you can see the bodies of all the hostile creatures that you had slain. The ground of the cliffs start shaking, and a massive black creature (tiny from your current perspective, overlooking everything) rises from the waters. “No…” you whisper to yourself. You can see yourself standing there, motionless, with the sword on the ground. Looking as terrified as someone could possibly be. You watch helplessly as the beast moves its giant hand towards your tiny body. You can’t help but look away. You wrap your hands around you just like how you did before. You can’t watch yourself die. “I also have the reverse of it, if you would like.” The voice says. “PLEASE, no!” You demand. “Well then,” the voice booms again. “That was it. It’s finished now. The Tenebris won. It’s time to shut down everything.” “No wait!” You yell. “It’s all done now. There’s nothing left. Nothing else matters.” The voice tells you. “What does that even mean?!” You ask. The void around you starts spinning again. “It means…” the voice begins. “This. Is. The. End.” “But…” you try to bargain with the voice, but realize it’s worthless. “You were the last one. I always let the last Lux watch the end. Observe.” The voice informs you. The spinning comes to a stop. You can see all the planets and stars and galaxies you initially saw when you arrived. Then everything starts melting. At least that’s what it looks like. It appears to all be dripping to the bottom. You look beneath you and all you see is pitch black. This is where all the drips are flowing to. The streaks become so long they look like obelisks, a million times taller than other galaxies. It lasts for what feels like decades until all the melting looks like stripes. You wait even longer and all the stripes merge together to create a bright white light. The lights surrounds you in all directions until it’s the only thing you can see. Then, even though you couldn’t see it, the sphere around you starts closing in. You can feel it. Faster and faster. You begin to panic. There’s no one there with you. Not even the voice. There’s nothing you can do once again. But at least this time, it’s peaceful until it all quickly ends with a single sound. A drop of water.
