What a good idea! I have intermittent mobility issues due to flare ups, so when I’m able to garden more, I’ll definitely try out something like this. I love that you’re repurposing the refrigerators too!

It's a little more complicated than that, jam has sugar, which is a preservative. So it's okay to do a 10 minute rolling boil hot water bath for jam but anything else I would recommend doing more research :) thanks for watching!

Please understand, California has the strictest building codes in the country because the entire state is on The San Andreas Fault line, along the Pacific Rim Volcanoes & tectonic plate. The entire state is subject to severe earthquakes & has a vast history of them. Buildings, Freeways & just about anything in the Cali infrastructure has to be built to withstand the earth moving, shaking, shifting. It takes a lot of money to run the bureaucracy that governs building code & enforcement of building safe structures so less people die in an earthquake.

what materials did u use for installing windows (glue sealant etc ) ?

Hi Evrim. The windows are installed in wood framing bucks, screwed in place. Then expanding spray foam around them between the window frame and the wood buck. Then the earthen plaster is wrapped from the strawbales over the foam to the window frames edge. I hope this helps. Hassan Hall

Context: Our contractor friend offered discounted services, which he was paid for. He "lost money" by not charging market rates, but all his costs were covered AND he was paid for his time as well...simply at a lower rate which he offered us. ALSO over the years many of us have helped him on other projects of his, either as volunteers during demolition or grunt labor when his usual guys weren't available. Still good friends to this day!

Nice syrup. That's what it looked like back home in the hills of NC. Much like green Pennsylvania motor oil. I think a lot of folks making it tend to over cook it turning it dark. But then I've been known to tear down on some good ole black strap cane molasses. No where near the same just like there's so many different honey's. They all work in different ways of using them.
