I love this video series, and interviews. I often find myself relating with the stories from your guests, or resonating with their ideas within the field. I feel I gain a little more clarity in each episode. Thank you, Carly, for sharing your experiences. I had found these tools available within my ecosystem of apps at work and started to teach myself how to use them. I've now built out a full department communication hub & multiple associated team sites. Each tailored in ways to meet the needs of the department & team members. I have a full stack of automated cloud flows developed for one of the teams, integrated with there planner task tracker. I have built out a simple but functional helpdesk app for our escalation team, and I have a lot more ideas going forward. Griffin thank you for hosting & creating these resources. These videos have given me a sense of community, in a time I have felt like an island in the sea. I would like to connect with the community further.

Great video. I really think the key for people new to Copilot is to just start using it. That about telling it what NOT to do; I was trying to generate images with Microsoft Designer and yep, it completely ignores any instructions about what not to include.

Nice video, but it failed to deliver on the title. Using the Trial is not 'for FREE" - so that was extremely disappointing since I was looking to find out how I could unlock FREE Copilot. The content of the video is a good beginner tutorial but the disappointment of the title vs the content was huge.

You can utilize copilot for free via the edge internet browser if you’re looking for that! Unfortunately Microsoft keeps their hands on their money so they don’t give out extended Copilot Studio licenses for free. Thanks for watching and the feedback!

What? You let the AI:s generate emails, and it wrote them "better than yourself?" Isn't that a kind of fraud? For the rest: are you really a programmer?
@citizendeveloper3652 ай бұрын
Firstly, a hammer hammers in nails better than my fist. I don't see it as fraud to utilize tools to communicate faster. If someone asked me if my email was generated using AI tools, I'd happily tell them yes. Secondly, I will be the first to admit that I am not a computer programmer. I do not have any formal computer science background. I consider myself to be a Software Consultant and I don't see how utilizing the tools available would rid someone of a title. A Carpenter is still a carpenter even if they use tools to make their job easier and deliver higher quality work. Thank you for you comment and thoughts!

Can this checkbox functionality also be applied to business process flows in model-driven apps?
@citizendeveloper3653 ай бұрын
I don't believe so. In the Business Process Flow builder, there isn't a way to add controls (like you can in the form builder). The control is not necessarily on the field itself, but instead is on the form. Bbecause the BPF isn't "on the form" it wouldn't inherit the control.

You're wrong about co-pilot not storing data. You might want to re-check that.

@@citizendeveloper365 It's not what I heard but what I know. I retired from programming in 2023. I worked for both Microsoft and Apple during the late 90's and early 2000's. If you use any software created by Microsoft your info is being stored. Very similar to what Google does. So go ahead and keep your head in the sand. A lot of the scammers that operate out of India have also worked for Microsoft. And if you're not familiar Microsoft operates one of the biggest marketing firms. It's all about profit. In the table, how to have the field show the actual signature and not the string <div class="ck-content" data-wrapper="true" dir="ltr" style="--ck-image-style-spacing: 1.5em; --ck-inline-image-style-spacing: calc(var(--ck-image-style-spacing) / 2); --ck-color-selector-caption-background: hsl(0, 0%, 97%); --ck-color-selector-caption-text: hsl(0, 0%, 20%); font-family: Segoe UI; font-size: 11pt;"><p>data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0 ......
@citizendeveloper3653 ай бұрын
Are you saying when you actually look at the data itself in the Dataverse? On the form, it should be showing the "image" of the signature if the field has the control on it. If you are referring to when you look at it in Dataverse, there is no way to change that. The control requires the html in order to display the signature.

Copilot doesn't understand what a 2 levels or floors building is. It keeps creating more floors than I ask it.
@citizendeveloper3653 ай бұрын
Weird! I know sometimes Copilot (and all Generative AI tools) have the ability to "hallucinate" and create things that are not asked for, or miss the mark entirely. At this point in time, perfecting one's prompting is going to provide the greatest improvement in Copilot's output. I wonder if there is a way you could improve the prompt to be better and easier for Copilot to understand.

Hey there, got an issue you might be able to help me out. I created a word template with xml mapping,as you guess rich text won't show up in it bc Word can't read html. Comes up as non formated text. I don't need a lot from the editor. Just 2 things. 1- in text box, when I push enter, it needs to be "paragraph break" not "line break" bc text in word has to be justified and it will get broken with line break. 2- bullets. If possible bullets created in rich text to show up as bullets in word. I tried fixing it with macro but u can't use docm as template. Any suggestions? Is is possible to edit the Json file of rich text editor and turn Linebreak to paragraph break? Any will be appreciated, thanks!
@citizendeveloper3654 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, I do not think there is a way to edit the rich text editor. This is quite an interesting use case that I think reaches past the limits of the editor. I wonder if you could redesign the solution to use a Power Automate and create the doc instead (you could build the flow in a away to substitute the line break for a paragraph break, etc.) but this may be doing too much and may change the user experience.

Great video! This is exactly what I needed to hear. Both the frameworks work well for me, and I’m going to build off these tips. One interesting thing about templates is that we can fake them by writing a template prompt in Word, save as a document, and just copy from that doc and paste into copilot each time we need that template. It’s not perfect but it works. Great job my man.

Great video! If it saves me 1 hour PER MONTH - it's worth it. That's not expensive, I used to spend hours on google for answers and sifting through SEOdumpster / Ad-scape. Is it worth it for every person/employee, no, but for the right worker, it increases efficiency significantly - those hours/days saved, add up. The ability to get an answer in CoPilot is very powerful.
