GRWM while I tell you why should feel bad about giving your baby formula 🫢 simple answer… DON’T. We recently switched Amadeo to formula and even though the mom guilt was going crazy at first, it’s honestly been a HUGE relief on my stress & mental health. He was exclusively breastfed for almost 8 months before making the transition. I wrestled with it for soooo long before ultimately making the full switch. On one hand I’m so grateful to feed my baby from my body knowing it’s so good for him and know we that have this physical connection still postpartum. On the other hand, I’m exhausted, constantly worried about my supply, SO HUNGRY ALL THE TIME I CAN NEVER GET FULL, anxious, and more. My reason for stopping wasn’t just an idea to stop and that’s it. My supply had began plummeting when I was having troubles with my pumps, I kept missing pump sessions so my body was responding accordingly. I also got my period for the first time since birth and was feeling suuuuper fatigued and my hormones were going crazyyyy. At this point I was pumping maybe 1-2 ounces each session so I wasn’t getting as much as I was used to as a slight over-supplier. I was quickly going through my freezer stash trying to keep up with feeding him and almost ran out so we had to introduce formula. So he was combination feeding for a couple weeks which went from mostly breast milk to mostly formula. I did give it one last shot with a new pump I bought which helped me get some more milk in the freezer. But I was still having so much anxiety and feeling so drained with each pump session. Ultimately I decided that we would make the full transition and yes… I cried… a LOT. I felt so guilty for stopping before the recommended time. But I feel like I can be a better me which will in turn be a better mom for him. And he’s still heathy, happy and FED at the end of the day. That’s what matters ☺️ Everyone’s reason for using formula is different and honestly it’s a huge blessing that we even have this option, not every mom can breastfeed! So obviously it’s a huge lifesaver and great resource. If you are using formula or transitioning to formula, you are still an amazing mom 🤍

Such an inspiring video! I'm always giving up and complaining because I didn't grow up in a wealthy family (quite the opposite, actually) and now I'm almost 21, having to do EVERYTHING by myself 🙏 It's hard to work everyday, go to the university on the weekends, study, clean my apartment, cook and pay for everything, while people around me have their families' or partner's help. I'm envious because if they want to buy something big they will usually just pay for it immediately because they don't rent, they own, and even if some of them rent - they share the bills with their partner etc. While I put almost all my pay into bills and education every month 😫 Currently I'm saving money for a good computer and it's soooo frustrating to think about how long it will take 🙏 But hey I'm getting there all on my own and I should be proud of that 😊 Thank you for that boost!
