Beautiful memorial to Jennifer. Yes cancer did not win she is no longer in pain. My brother who was 53 died last December after fighting with cancer for 2 years, he left behind 3 children ages 11, 12, 13. I have vowed that I will talk about my brother so he is remembered. My grand father died before any of his grandchildren were born. My mom nor my aunt could talk about him without crying, now we know very little about him.

Welcome back Carol. Wow, live on Little is a big piece. It will be beautiful when done. I also like Little Moon. Are the flowers poppies? I also have done the red, white and bloom. I ordered that when you showed it on a previous video. They have yet to be fully finished. Crossing my fingers to do that when I return home. I have been working on a piece called strawberry salt box, a small chart by Pinker and Punkin Quilting. Keep on keeping busy. My aim one day is to own a wall hanging quilt done by you. Thanks for the video.

Carol, first my heartfelt sympathies to all regarding the loss of your dear and beautiful friend. May she rest in eternal peace. Now for some fun: a great video! So happy you are back from your adventures! I laughed because Brenda from Brenda and the Serial Starter was telling us on their Floss Tube how fun it was getting that much loved Lakeside Linens! It's fun being short! I am too! Your projects are so beautiful! It's always inspiring to watch your videos and they bring me such happiness. My husband is happy such simple pleasures bring me so much joy! I have been quilting a bit in the late mornings and then I switch to cross stitch. It's the only way to get these "oh so many" projects done. Nonetheless, boredom is not in our vocabulary! Can't wait for your next video! Enjoy your stitching and quilting! Oh... Carol, do you use a hoop or stitch in hand? Just wondering. Thank you for making me happier than I already am😃💕✂️✂️✂️

Carol, when you mentioned flower thread you made me think of a project I did many years ago, by request, for my sister. It was a twelve panel afghan that used every color of flower thread. They were starting to discontinue the thread and I had a hard time finding all the colors in the days before the internet. The last one was a 0:07 red that I searched and searched for. It turned out to be used only in the final panel for literally three stitches! Thanks for another enjoyable stitchy visit.

Carol - Welcome back! So happy to see when you posted a new video to share your trip and all the goodies you were able to bring home. It sounds like you had a wonderful time with family, shopping and the retreat. Also, CONGRATS to Mr. Saltbox on his new channel. May I ask a favor - you mentioned the magnification glasses your sister was so graciously given. Can you please tell me a brand if what I could look for or if there is a shop that has them for sale? I think this would help me tremendously. I currently work on 32 ct but would love to work on 40 ct. Lastly what a beautiful tribute to your friend and fellow stitcher. It is wonderful to hear you say how much you treasure her piece of work that you have, we should all be so lucky. PS Love all your new charts! Pamela A/PA
@saltboxstitcher5 күн бұрын
Thanks so much. I think those are called clip and flip magnifier glasses. I’m sure there are various brands.

I wear the magni clips that were given to your sister. I have purchased three pairs off Amazon and one pair from a cross stitch store. They come in several magnifications. I have different ones depending on the count I am using. I too have a long arm that is all me no statler stitcher. I use a saddle stool on wheels. Works miracles as I can go back and forth while quilting. I use an APQS longarm. Love your finishes. I try to start fall stitching in August as well. Glad you had a great time with your family.

Thanks so much. I have a Gammil with a regulated stitch but it’s not a Statler with the programmed patterns. I love it!

What a lovely tribute. Sounds like an excellent retreat ❤. On the "morbid" topic of who goes first and the labeling of stitchy stuff- I bet you could set it up so that the pieces your family didn't want could be raffled or auctioned (say at Stitchcon) and the funds donated to a cause of your choice. As a stitching audience it would fetch top dollar.

It’s very hard to get a good camera angle and still be able to see what I’m stitching. However if you go to the KZfaq channel Jean Farish Flosstube #1 Victorian stitch. She shows the type of stitch I do. Without a hoop. Hopefully that will explain how I stitch in hand with the sewing motion.

So happy to see you last night. I had so much to comment on I made myself wait… or you would have needed a table of contents 😂😂😂 I loved meeting you in person in Spring Green❤❤ tho I felt we were friends already. Flosstube is so weird. 😜 Your Red White and Bloom made me “Schoom” immediately . How did I not have this? That watering can!!! 😮 I have lots lots to say and thanks for a wonderful Flosstube. But after getting to the end ….. all I want to say is a heartfelt Thank You for all the inspiration and the chuckles and keeping me company as I stitch, and make sure you know how much you mean to so many people out here. ❤ that’s all that really matters isn’t it?
