Awesome rip with the 5ive-T man, I always wanted one of these but it seems i never have the money to get one or they're on back order for a long time on Horizon they've been on back order for over a year i was saving up for one but got distracted by other new RC stuff. But hopefully when they come back and stay in stock and i can save up enough i can get one someday cool to see some of these still run.

@@rckid552 a few. Traxxas Resonator pipe, and blue cooling head. I also installed a receiver box to protect the receiver. I believe that's it.

whats my dude DRE! Happy to see you running the OCTANE, no man people know about this truck and even fewer have one. BTW great tip on moving the CDI box to the front, I recently ran one myself and noticed pretty significant glitching sometimes.

@hybrid32494 Hey hybrid! Yeah, once I moved the box, the glitches stopped. The V2 that was never released had the box moved to the same position. It made more room for the lipo packs I'm using. Thanks for watching!

One thing i like about your channel is , you keep nitro alive . You also keep your vehicles stock and don't turn them into shelf queens but actually run them . This is exactly what I was gonna do on my channel . Thanks for sharing. Long live your channel and long live nitro . I'm also a traxxas fan I have to modles , a 2.5 tmaxx and a rustler .. You need to lower the Tmaxx, all the way. Take off the shock spacers an replace oil with a different weight.

I just ordered my self one from eBay from the same seller you did and i can’t wait for it to get here, i really wanted to get into gas rc for awhile but they are expensive and really big so the octane is perfect. I have been running mainly nitro for years and wanted to try something new. Tbh the eBay seller has the octanes listed at a decent price because of how rare they are.

Hey man great video, while I heard you talking about transmissions at the end, my tmaxx 3.3 has had this issue where it shifts way too early and it just kinda sounds silly and feels slower, I’ve been trying to adjust the shift point screw in the transmission but I just couldn’t get a handle on it or something like that. Today I finally just ripped the tranny out and took it apart to where I can finally access the screw, do you know of a good starting point where I can get the truck to really pronounce that first gear? Like how many turns out etc. thanks man

@RaggedEdgeRC I'm honestly no expert in this field, but I would turn it clockwise 1/4 turn. Also, you will be able to access the screw through an access hole on the transmission. Try that and report back. Make sure your tune is on point as well. Good luck!

@@Dre357 after doing some digging I found it’s totally different than say what it may be for the carb settings, I found a couple guys saying 7 turns out from closed is the factory settings for the shift point. They also said be sure not to unscrew it all the way cause that could mess up the entire transmission as well. I too am not an expert with these transmissions so I’ll get back to you my friend! @@Dre357hey Dre, I tried that setting of 7 turns out and found that to be way too far out, as the car was actually stuck in 2nd. Started working it back in and it’s starting to shift well again! Probably around 6-6.5 turns out from closed.

If you get a forward only kit,that will go away,the 3.3 dosnt have reverse right? Thats just the 1st speed engaging on the tmaxx,because the idle is high...like you did,if the idle is nice and low,it won't do that👍

@DirtbikeDad well, my Tmaxx classic has a black colored transmission and it jerks at high idle. It is weird but is normal for certain Tmaxx models. It's the way the transmission engages. My newer model Tmaxx 3.3 with a gray transmission does not engage in that way. Hope this helps!
