Yes, all of them are DC(ish?) properties. Creature Commandos 1st appeared in 1980... I know little about them (WHAAAT) but I recall seeing splash pages in the books where it'd have everyone fighting everything and often Frankenstein would be in the mix next to say...Batman. James has a knack for picking the pretty odd, often considered D- level characters and bring em to the forefront. So just on his DC record alone with The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker, I have faith in this one. Also, that DC logo was from the 90s, interesting choice, wonder if it's referring to the time of this project.

first impression.. i prefer to G. I. Robot. Nina Mazursky is character who made me curious. Because we don't know yet concept of her superpower with her amphibian physiology. The rest... I have an imagination about the fight between Frankenstein vs Swamp Thing. Even in live-action show. It doesn't have to be a fight to kill each other. Just a fight to stop each other. But.. I want Swamp Thing to win😅

i never saw the koogler actor before this episode. he looks to me like all the 80s actors from university comedies. i'm guessing this is why they cast him.

Mitchell D. Hurwitz (Koogler) was the creator of Arrested Development, and the guy who gives the monologue about loving a 2 is Tim Heidecker of Tim & Eric fame (Eric was also in this, but didn't really have speaking lines). So these were substantial guest appearances!

I like this episode. It references several futuristic dystopian movies/books. A lot of the set design and costumes are like Logan's Run, a movie from the 70s. Starburns's costume is from a movie called Zardoz (which hilariously starred Sean Connery), as is the complete social segregation based on status, severe punishment for minor and arbitrary breaches of norms, and the apathetic attitude of the Twos and Threes. The Outlands is from the movie Outlander (also with Sean Connery). There are other references, like the regimentation of the Threes and Twos into a 1984-like existence, and the division of society into several distinct social classes which was a motif in the novel Brave New World. I'm sure there are several others that I'm not seeing. I love these homage episodes.

This is one of my "OK" episodes. It's OK, but I don't have much to say about it. Others like it more than me. :) I like the Koogler character, played by Mitchell Hurwitz, the showrunner of Arrested Development.

Do you think that Director & writer Eli Roth and Ariana Greenblatt (Tiny Tina) will might do a Tiny Tina spinoff (probably based on Tiny Tina’s Wonderland)? If they are, I really hope it finally gets a hard R rated this time, and probably get a 2hrs run-time if needed.

I don’t care what anyone else thinks about Claptrap. I think Jack Black is kind of a great choice to voice him. I know I never played Borderlands before because I’m not much of a gamer, and 2nd I don’t even have a PlayStation. But I can watch it on KZfaq though. I even think Ariana is a perfect choice as Tiny Tina in my opinion. I heard that her character was actually born in Pandora. I think she and the director should do a Tiny Tina spinoff soon if they’re interested, and make it R-rated this time and probably give it a 2hrs run-time if needed or maybe a spin-off series.
