The God whom I worship chose all things for me: my parents/siblings/husbands, offspring-their number and their genders. What has this sermon got to do with broken reeds? Absolutely nothing!

It would be nice if the entire session from start to finish of Dr. Sproul’s teaching. We do not know if the Dr. continues teaching or ends with a prayer or a comment on what will be discussed in the next lesson? The session recording of Dr. Sproul ends abruptly as if that was his final point to be made after about 22 minutes. Then the maker of this recording continued with music of their choice for the rest of the 30 minute time slot. If you like the music, this recording is for you. I would rather hear the complete Dr. Sproul session. Thumbs up for Dr. Sproul’s teaching, thumbs down for the abrupt ending of Sproul speaking and for the filling in the last 8 minutes with the music.

It’s deformed, not reformed. It’s an extra biblical, gnostic ideology shoved into theology by Augustine and perpetuated by Calvin. Shame on them both.

The Antichrist symbolizes opposition to Christ throughout history. It represents any force or ideology against Christ's message, rather than a literal individual. Many prophecies traditionally associated with the Antichrist were fulfilled in historical events, such as the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

It's my understanding that you should go for the oldest version in it's original form before any translation for accuracy. I would suggest the NET bible, free downloads on the internet. Versions can be bought that include copious notes explaining just how these 25 ancient language scholars came to their conclusions.

Calvinist. He believes God chose him before the beginning of time. Before there was planet earth. Before any humans were ever born. Why would anyone who truly believes they were chosen by God before the beginning of time have any problems with assurance?

I would recommend the sermon by Dr. Andrew Farley on predestination. It's about Jew vs Gentile, rather than God picking winners and losers. To me that makes sense.
