My pyramid pan and a friends cracked where the plug goes in. I fixed mine by gluing and putting a screw clamp around the spout.

The proverb “All that glitters is not gold” is literally true. Gold does not glitter, it’s the same color in all light at any angle. If it sparkles … it isn’t gold, it’s pyrite

Getting out the fines first, is something I haven't seen anyone else doing & is a better way. Using some goldqube type matting in that removable tray is a nice touch, bit I would lower it & have it visible from the side. Need less volume of water for fine gold to better sink, eh? - like before it reaches the screen right? Needs a boiler box on that thing I think. Nice but cleaning off rocks by hand seems like not fun.

SO IVE GOT IT BACKWORDS

I think in my locality is only ultra fine gold that also floats and a lot of mica. If Im tapping the pan I think first goes mica . Im using more angles of the view if it glitters. then tapping again and those real gold flakes is harder to tap them out and suck them. And they shine from all angles. But mica definitely suck. 😢

You know... I've been doing this for a long time now and I only wish someone told me about how gold doesn't move. I was so scared for years that I was losing all my gold out of my pan and only left with black sand but in reality... I never had gold in the first place... Well not very much at least. Thank you for that. You're great. But... One question... I have this big mica rock and the dang thing is so flipping heavy... I was wondering... Is there something else with it? Could there also be gold?

Nice nugget. Funny the gold shop guy was surprised he found it sniping when sniping is the most consistant and efficient way to find gold. Metal detecting does take a close second though.

Idk why I couldn't find any chanel's that prospect in my part of ca but your video came up in my feed and I'm so happy I found this channel, I live in Oroville also, well thermalito but same thing, but I have been wanting something I can take my kids out to do in nature but I have zero experience with gold related activities lol I am curious have you ever thought about doing a live demo type of thing with group of people? Idk ,costumers pay a fee to get some experience and to ask you a million questions lol but just a idea, you can advertise for tours via your store front? Just saying because I'd sign me and my kids up for sure lol thank you for awesome content! Keep it up 😊

Thanks for the information. You might be interested in a video here on KZfaq titled "Headless Valley (Mel and Ethel Ross, 1958)". @ 1 hour 16 minutes and 24 seconds they find what they believed to be gold...a LOT of gold! I'd love to hear if you think it really is gold. Thanks.

Your the best.... Subscribing. This shiny, flaky stuff has been driving me crazy. I have tons of mica and pyrite in my pan. Can find gold attached to these minerals?? Will there be gold in these areas?
@MightyGachiman
@MightyGachiman 4 ай бұрын
There might be but nowhere near as much. Gold is formed under very heavy pressure and heat, which is much more than pyrite needs. So no you most likely won't find gold attached to these minerals.

You should pre weigh the gold flower before the test and then weigh it afterwards. That way you can see the true recovery

then you have irresponsible messy plug diggers in your area cause whether I break my plug apart or not everyone goes back and it's undetectable by eye where I removed and replaced my plugs . it's all in the technique but to many have no respect which is what ruins it ... plus those people will not take the time for the methods shown here if they can't put a plug back and take the the time to do it right

Thanks for taking time to explain all this. Specific gravity of gold is way heavier than pyrite or mica is. That's why gold sticks to the bottom of the pan and others wash away. Pyrite is a mineralizing sulfide that can bring in gold. Micas can be alteration minerals that form from mineralizing solutions that bring in the gold. So it's important to differentiate these minerals...Good Luck!
