Revisiting this great walkthrough. Still love it. Since you are transitioning a lot, do you have a way to monitor what the next section is sounding before you transition it in? Does your mixer have for example good enough cueing ability for headphone checking before sending it out to the house? Thanks again for sharing.

Thnx for going through it again in depth! All the elements of the set are well prepared from before, so I know all the sounds I have in my disposal. So there is no need to check the sounds before I bring them in. I also have practised how to play live with each sound so I know what to do in order to have variations in sound. And I leave the rest to the moment.

Way too expensive for bleeps and bloops. Does it actually make musical sounds?
@ethermod30710 күн бұрын
I would be rather careful to use the words "bleeps and bloops". This is a well-crafted noise improvisation session with two experimental instruments as a stereo pair. What you call "musical sounds" can be anything, 99% of youtubers make that easy to be found. If you want something more exciting and hopefully inspiring you should check the drone sessions that i did with the same instruments: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eMWFltWkqrCrdGw.htmlsi=eVNucj9UVMReCmoK

Congratulations! I'm really enjoying what I've heard so far, and I'm looking forward to going back for a deeper listen later. Love the idea of 'liberated sound' as you describe it. I've been thinking a lot about how to forward the simple experience of encountering sound in my work. I think it works best as you've done here with a focused instrumentation and sound palette-to say "this is enough, just listen to it".

this is some impressive work! never really came across anyone who pushed the sound of the mn easel as you did!

I just got a Peterlin and I love it so much I'm getting a second one! Do you by any chance know how to sync the rungler clocks on two Peterlins?
@sushimandaddiАй бұрын
Rungler Is usually synced to oscillator bs frequency at least on other benjolin versions I’ve built
@M.EdwardBoraskyАй бұрын
@@sushimandaddi Ah ... so if there's a rungler clock input on the second one I could patch oscillator B pulse output to it, I guess.

Great video. Could I suggest flipping the perspective, feels strange as a viewer looking at the instrument upside down throughout the video.

Really enjoying the sounds in this series. How are the two patches listed interacting with each other? Or are they sent to separate channels/mixers?
@ethermod3075 ай бұрын
Thanx for the positive words! I wrote the two patches for convenience, it's really just one patch. The "normal" patch is creating the "pinged" sounds and the "feedback" patch is inserting noise into the system. If you check it carefully you'll see that the "feedback" patch doesn't have any outputs to the mixer. Have fun!
@benoitmyard73895 ай бұрын
Hey, I was rewatching this (as many of your feedback pieces, it has its own bookmark) and it just occurred to me now that there's some panning and reverb happening. Do you remember what you used by any chance?
@ethermod3075 ай бұрын
I think it's the Valhalla Supermassive reverb on my DAW that does some weird things with the pre-delay. Thnx for watching!

This popped up in my KZfaq recommendations, and caught my eye right away. After that, your music caught my ear, and I enjoyed it very thoroughly! I really loved the pacing of this, and very subtle rhythmic elements layered with harmonizing drones. The texture of this music is terrific, gentle yet demanding your attention, with just enough grit to chew on as it gradually becomes more intense. Please keep making your music!
