I just watched this as part of the PiL new boxed set, and have been trying to figure out who's on stage here, obviously Don Letts, and the current PiL drummer [to the right...] but who is that beautiful fun girl on violin ?? Seriously I realize this is miming - but I would have LOVED to see this line up shown here live.
@draxlerchronicles58514 жыл бұрын
I knew her name ages ago but have forgotten. Will let you know if I remember. Lydon found himself with a hit single but had not put a band together yet so he just invited a load of mates to mime along. The drummer with the hat is Bruce Smith who drummed with PIL for 4 years (86 - 90) and has been their drummer again since 2009.

Anyone to mention that Steve Vai was a session guitarist for the album. One can notice the use of whammy bar in this solo. Great job in all the songs of this LP.

@@paulkielty3800 Not on this song. Steve Vai was indeed on guitar for the recording, but the drums were American Jazz drummer Tony Williams. I had to check it out because I didn't even know Steve played the guitar solo here.

32 years ago. Wow! I remember it cos Kevin Armstrong's guitar had no strings. He went to work with Iggy Pop on Blah Blah Blah instead of Steve Jones cos Jones couldn't leave the US. At the time I was baffled why Steve Jones co wrote some of the songs but didn't play on them. 31 years later I found out after reading Steve Jones' biography. Lonely Boy.
