OMG! Thank you for the best video on this! I just updated my old hinges and a few were off. I wasn't sure if I could adjust them. Two minutes I was done!

What a terrible explanation. I'm guessing everyone is 100% more confused after this moronic video.

Why does no-one ever show how to actually attach the door? Does it need to be offset anywhere???

I need help with an unfinished mahogany door that got drenched with rain during delivery. The stains are dark. I am wanting it to be a dark walnut stain but am afraid the water stains will show thru. Could you possibly upload a video on how to repair and stain water stained wood? Love your videos.

Is there a way to adjust how far the drawer comes out? Our stops to soon and makes it difficult to pull the back garbage can out.

So wanted to clarify. The hinges you measured were 3” down by 7/8” in. Is that standard?

I appreciate this video-however, it doesn't address the problem when the hinge comes undone from the back plate, leaving the door hanging in midair-not sure how to describe this, but I had a devil of a time trying to get both "clips" to go back on the posts and figure how to get the door to stay put on the hinge 😞and not keep falling off. Somehow with enough choice 4 letter words, a lamp to see what I was or wasn't doing I managed to rehang the door. I do not like these hinges! Being a 73 year old Granny who can hardly turn myself into a pretzel to work on this didn't help!

I don't think that choosing a shaper instead a router table shouldn't be for power reasons. A strong plunge router installed upside down under a table can provide more than double the power of a small shaper. I have a plunge router and a couple trimmers (one of them converted in a router table) and yet I am going to to buy a shaper because 1) even the smaller models are heavier machines that will give you a firm grip over the ground and 2) it has a crank that turns the process of moving the shank up and down a piece of cake when you have to perform multiple passes. I think that only these two features are enough reason to get a shaper. Also shapers still allow you to use collets and regular router bits beside the big rotating heads. Knowing that a small shaper like the nice G0510Z from Grizzly can cost almost the same as a good plunge router plus all the necessary set up to build a decent router table, there is not too much to think about I guess. I vote for a shaper.

This is how you turn something really simple out of something what would likely be very hard. Reminds me about Woody Hyezmar’s Woodworking Bible which is being given away and can try go’ogling, but I’m not so sure, have a good one!

I did almost exactly this to line up the drilled holes, but my drill (both of them, actually; one a Bosch and one a Worx) WOBBLE. They don't spin true. Tolerance for this project is about 2 mm so my holes didn't line up properly with the holes in the handles. fml

I just drew around my cup handles on paper then folded them in half , that then let me push a pin through the boss for the screws and when it opened up again the two pinholes were NOT the same distance from the centre ! That means if you mark off centres and drill holes then the handles will not be on centre and in my case will not be level , and I have a lot of these , so each one will have to be individually templeted to ensure accuracy . Cast handles tolerances are not to be trusted .
