Sad to see that place go. Glad you got video of it when you did. No need to be hating on P&C though my dad worked for them for many years…another place taken over by Tops from Buffalo.

I live in western ny where it first hit. It was terrifying as a 12 year old hearing tree after tree coming down. Hitting cars and our house. Hearing squealing tires on the thruway of people who got caught by surprise by the wind. It sounded like a train going over our house. It reminded all of us of twister and we thought we were going to die.

I love this video. I re-watch it every so often. I remember buying the 12" Single to "Say It Isn't So" by Hall & Oates at Cavages at that mall in early '84. Can't envision where it was located in Fayetteville though. Would only go during a few trips to Syracuse area in the early 80s.

My brothers and I met Ellie many years ago as a small child. She signed a sheet of paper for us with a very sweet message and I came across that sheet while going through old paper work. I'm 55 now and this brought back some memories for me. ❤

In 1997, the 12-year old me was a typically well-behaved child… but I probably would’ve robbed your grandmother for tickets to this show. Living in southeastern VA, we never got an ECW show until a house show in summer of 2000 that included chilly willy in the main event.. enough said
