I would like to see a step towards at least a hybrid diesel where all the hotel facilities are run on electric, not just for cutting emmissions, but to have silence at anchor without generators running and silence going in and out of marinas. I'm very impressed with the new S and M series and almost ordered one. What put me off was that I was standing next to one when it started up and it sounded like a farm tractor. Terrible sound. I also didn't like that the S50 never had a tender garage and thought the davit option out of the lazzarette was too clunky and difficult to use. Other than that the new S and M series are sensational and that M75 will be a winner for sure. Just wish the S55 had a tender garage without requiring a davit and a hybrid engine that could operate all hotel functions on silent electric, especially at anchor where you are trying to connect with nature.

Far more stressful letting the boat dock itself. I thought Swedes were smart???? You could park to of those boats in that space.

I'm not understanding! Lots of yachts in the 40+ foot range have bow and stern thrusters. I have watched lots of them move sideways. Why do the commentators think moving sideways is so awesome? If the system is reliable this would be helpful for single handing a big boat. "Sensors on the dock" doesn't sound like it will be useful for the passage maker class.

Is there some compelling reason that we shouldn't expect people to be able to pilot their vessels competently?

Yeah, there's nothing compelling about evolving. We should go back to being cavemen.

Interior is amazing. Cruising weeks at a time exposed like that is a nightmare. Skin cancer is a thing. Beyond me why boat yards still make such exposed helm stations. So disappointing.

Thank you for the beautifully shot video of what is quite possibly the loveliest looking boat in its class. Tony Fleming got every line right in a way that makes boats like Nordhavns look dumpy and too tall.

@7:57; ""So what is the next step"" asks the ""BLONDE BIMBETTE"" to the caption, ""WELL THIS IS WHEN I AM NORMALLY THE MOST STRESSED DURING ANY/ALL VOYAGES, SO HOW ABOUT YOU GET DOWN ON YOUR KNEES AND MAKE DOUBLE SURE THAT I HAVE NO STRESS TODAY, YES? OTHERWISE THIS IS NOW KNOWN AS PLANK TIME, YOU CAN EITHER WALK THE PLANK OR.................................IF YOU HAVE ASSUMED THE POSITION & ARE NOW DOWN ON YOUR KNEES, YOU WILL BE LOOKING AT THE OTHER "PLANK" THAT IS NOW IN PLAY, YOUR CHOICE???""
