The large horn in the 25 has that typical honk to it. Tweeters delivery highs much better and smoother. I like the Control 5 myself. Los Angeles Pro Blues player

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience but I wanted to ask you something. as you have surely noticed, the stock audio system after 50% volume the "S" in a text of some music, the very letter "S" screeches in the ears, have you noticed this thing? "with all stock", once the amplifier is mounted does this problem remain or is it solved? as I intended to mount a focal amplifier keeping the original speakers. thank you in advance for the answer ❤️

I can't say as I noticed it with the stock system, what annoyed me the most is the midrange.

If you don't mind me asking what kind of wire did you run to the speakers. Also what kind of amplifier would be needed.
@installedsound9062 жыл бұрын
Any cable will do, bear in mind the wire used to suspend them from the ceiling is separate. When new they came with reinforced steel hanging cables. The amplifier again can be a range of things. Typically these are used in a professional install, but I just ran these for testing purposes off a 100w per channel AV receiver. Anything with 50 watts upwards should be enough to run these well.

Your amp isn't powerful enough for that setup
@installedsound9062 жыл бұрын
Is that so. I've used the same models for PA use with Cloud power amplifiers and for personal use with those Sony amplifiers. It sports roughly 100 watts per channel. In a room of that size, it's more than enough power. I don't understand how you can be the judge of what's powerful enough for it and what isn't when you've never heard it in person.
@danielg69672 жыл бұрын
@@installedsound906 because your smallest speakers are 150 watts each. I have the control 1 pros and they need a powerful amp to get the best out of them. Your bigger jbls need even more.

Hi I have had a pair of these for many years. After about 10 years of ownership I'm now ready to wall mount them. Would you be able to tell me what size screw I need to fix the wall mounts to the rear of the speaker? I can't find this information anywhere. Regards.

I'll consult the bracket manual tomorrow, but they're just standard thread bolts.
