25:24 - I'll always defend Pryce, not necessarily because there's a lot to her characterization in Rebels, but because of the complexity of her in the 2017 Thrawn novel which explains how she got to the point she's at in the show. She's essentially the counter to Thrawn - he manages to preserve some of his moral values while ascending through the Imperial ranks, while she gradually becomes corrupted by the power enabled to her. I've also never understood the complaint of her being the one that kills Kanan - Thrawn being absent from the latter half of season 4 is explained in the scene where he talks to Tarkin at the beginning of episode 10 which serves as the epilogue to Thrawn: Treason. Thrawn being the one to kill Kanan in the walker makes no sense because he wouldn't do something as stupid as blowing up his own TIE Defender factory just to kill one rebel. Pryce on the other hand has always been more shortsighted than Thrawn, and chooses to take advantage of the opportunity, an act that seals her fate in Thrawn's eyes since she has long outserved her usefulness to him. I guess you could have some other random Imp officer be the one to blow up Kanan, but no matter how you slice it Thrawn being the one to do it makes zero sense for his character. Anyway, just giving my take on Pryce as someone who appreciates the character and how she contributes to Thrawn's story.

@joeiorio9654 oh you think that's upsetting here's my idea for Ashoka. The reason Thrawn and Ezra were working together should have been that there was a case of the black wing virus onbord and when they crashed it got out and started infecting all of Thrawns troopers. Then at the end when Ashoka and Sabine watch them leave. It pans out to show force ghost Anakin watching them from atop a hill. Only for it to do a close up starting at his feet slowly going up he starts to morph showing not Anakin but Abeloth who manipulated Ashoka to bring Thrawn back probably because she is going to use him to free her.

As someone who Loves Sophie thatcher in yellow jackets her character Drash was so underwhelming. Something I found interesting was how her modifications were the bare minimum compared to the rest of her crew. Just an arm and that’s it. That be an interesting observation of how maybe she isn’t fully committed to the Mod/gangster life style. I could make a pitch for a season 2 I could have maybe not a full episode but maybe a b plot of her getting MORE modifications showing she’s ready to take that life style seriously.

In hindisight, it was overly generous to think that The Bad Batch was about CF99. It was always about the girl. Any character traits the Batch had was going to be passed down to Omega, rather than fleshed out as development for the character itself. In Echo's case, it was his loyalty and service to others that ultimately got Omega into the Rebellion. But as I said, Echo as a character was never meant to grow. There's that one glimpse of PTSD and his physical condition being Corbett and Rau's contribution to lip service towards real-life veterans (similar to how Tech is the token austistic character). But disregarding his TCW arc, you could have Howzer be in the Batch and have the same effect to the group as a whole when Echo was there. In fact, the writers are super allergic to any development outside of Omega. Tech got killed off and people spoke of his sacrifice in terms of the girl. But they seem to forget that his development in S2 was *independent* of Omega. Appreciating Serenno culture, the illegal race, possible romance with Phee, that didn't revolve around Omega's orbit. Similarly, Echo's fight for his brothers, his own trauma and past, those didn't involve her. Which was probably why the writers wrote them off...
@joeiorio965419 күн бұрын
That is certainly a take about Omega
@OliverSierraW21 күн бұрын
Personally, i feel like Echo should have asked about fives, rex tells him, then we have a scene just before order 66 of echo looking through files about fives' death and Tup, and then talks to rex and ahsoka about how the war is almost over or something. Then, instead of Rex telling them to find fives, Echo manages to put 2 and 2 together.
