My Grandma Bornstein used to take us to the Swan Boats every summer. We would always have an adventure riding the subway. She was our Tour Guide. I loved all the buildings and wished I could live in one of them. Thank you for taking us along with you! I love the Book Store...I've wanted to open one for many years. Thank goodness we have our local library within a beautiful old building.

Hi Carla! I loved this video, especially enjoyed the beautiful gardens and the hydrangeas. I was in Boston in the late 90's on a bus trip from CT. I think it may be time for another visit, maybe in the fall when it cools down. We just got back from Cape May NJ today. It was so gorgeous down there, even during this heat wave, because there was a constant breeze. I don't know if you have ever been there, but the area has many beautiful old Victorian homes and gorgeous hydrangea gardens. That was the place that inspired my love of hydrangeas and I now have many bushes and trees around my home. I just placed my first order from your site! I ordered the Heavenly body cream and 2 of the cookies. Looking forward to receiving. Have a wonderful week! 💗

As a young bride (43 years ago) my husband and I travelled to Boston. I told him that I belonged there and never wanted to leave. These days, I feel so fortunate that we have close family living there and for us is only 1 hour flight. And every time I still tell my husband that I don;t want to leave! You Tube sometimes unsubscribes viewers for some reason that nobody understands, it's happened to me so I had to re subscribed to all my favorite channels. I was just on a YT live stream and many people complained about the same thing. Thank you for this beautiful day trip Carla!

Brick buildings,,,, iron fences... and green trees... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I love these tiny little front spaces, which are so much easier to maintain. And yes, the hydrangeas are breathtaking... especially the blues. THe little book store is my dream! I wish we had one as charming... or one at all! The nooks and crannies, the little patterned lamp shades, the arches and little round window ... like a little secret hideaway. All the little critters, the doggie bookends, those tiny doors to who knows where. I am 73 and my imagination is going crazy. I can only imagine seeing it from a child's view! I am sure they go home and dream of this place.

I love Boston except the city traffic in the morning when heading to the airport lol! Boston has so many historic places and interesting things! I’ve been to Boston in the summer when it was in the 90s and humidity off the charts. Drinking water is definitely a must! I do prefer Boston in the Fall when it’s not so hot. Great video! Good Morning Carla ☕🍓, trying to find the right words for your interesting tour of some beautiful places in Boston. You must have loved being at the Beacon Hill Bookstore, I truly appreciate your showing us such an amazing place that felt so much at home and brought back treasured memories of so many books. My Grandmother had that typewriter that you shared. You captured many lovely places, the beautiful Charles River, the George Washington statue, the Ducklings dressed in honor of the Celtics, many beautiful hydrangeas, and even shared a delicious 😋 looking lunch. Hope you know I appreciate You ❤ ☮🇺🇸❤🤍💙

Hello Carla, As always enjoyed seeing today's informative video. My taste buds wished 😋 for your scones 🍓 I love the arbor but do not recommend putting in morning glories, it grows on my property invasive, it may look lovely if it would stay only on the arbor but I doubt it would. I suggest growing grapes 🍇 they would be a double header first very attractive, secondly to make wine 🍷 I also love your idea for the bistro table there, so inviting.☕🍷 ❤

Carla, just one other thought for the arbor that came to my mind would be Jasmine with such a beautiful scent. Perhaps the grapes 🍇 might bring not welcoming animals etc. ☮🐿🐿🐻

Being Australian/ English I have loved scones ever since I was tiny. Both my mother and Nanna made wonderful scones and I have taken up the tradition. I have a wonderful recipe for Cream scones made in my Kitchen Aid and they require so little work . Using Self Raising flour too makes them taste better and they rise beautifully. Love your garden!!
@mynewenglandstory13 күн бұрын
Using Self Rising flour would be wonderful....light and airy; however, my Daughter has a wheat intolerance which is why I use Einkorn flour in my baking. I agree with you, Scones are a comfort food! Have a beautiful week Antonia.

For your arbor, I have to chime in and say that morning glory is heck- you will have it covering ALL your acreage before you know it. Wisteria take a ton of support. How about a clematis that is not too much of a grower. I love clematis montana but daily I have to nip it back. There are so many nice clematis. Or a climbing rose but that could look sparse depending on the variety.
