Can Fireman Sam have a word with the Council(s) about re-opening the tips and kerbside green waste collections? There closure is the main reason you are seeing more bonfires.

Thank you for your response. We understand that these times are difficult for everyone and everyone is having to be more tolerant of many changes during a difficult period. The Council have closed the tips for everyone's safety for the period of time needed. They will reopen when safe to do so.Can we suggest that you contact Waste Management through the Council for their suggestions on disposal at this time. However, if people can refrain for a small period it would reduce the pressure and impact on all resources, specifically emergency services.

Part of the advice appearing above this video in Pirate FM's article states: "Look for somewhere safe to pull in but avoid kerbs, pavements, bends and junctions." I'm sorry, but in so many parts of Cornwall if people didn't use the pavement/kerb you would never get through, as your video shows. There were no pedestrians, it made sense to use the pavement to get out of the way. The advice in the article completely contradicts the content of the video really. Should that Pirate FM article be amended, perhaps?
