The fact that sting ray is named after the corvette stingray and he drives a chevy in Indycar is fitting

Just viewed the video[25jun2024] , and to my surprise my 1973 Corvette was briefly shown in it. My 73 has been a display car twice,at the National Corvette museum, once in the St Louis Assembly display which features a body off 73 Corvette and a completed Corvette. My 73 was there for a year as the Completed Corvette, The second time was for the World's Only 3's Exhibit, displaying each 3 year Corvette up through 2003. a 53, a 63, a 73(myCar), the one and only 83, a 93, and a 03. My car sat next to the 83 during that display. I have the banners featuring this display that flew outside the Museum. I still own the 73, a Silver Big Block 4 Speed Coupe.

The C6 Z06 is the real legend next to the 67 vette with the 427, it’s the last time you will be able to buy a vette that has a manual transmission and it’s the last time you will ever see a Natural Aspirated 427 motor ,these cars will soar in price before you know it.

I got to see the Spirit of Sebring car race in Sebring. What a treat! He was doing great till he retired and let the BMW 2002s take over. :)

What a heartwarming story on this 83 that was destined to be destroyed! Almost brought tears of happiness to my eyes! I have an 84 that looks just like that and is also white. This is what made this video very special to me.😅

Everyone in South Park wanted a CSB V8 in something, whether it be a dune buggy or a Corvette.
@billyhack96735 ай бұрын
The CSB V8 was an absolutely astounding racing engine but also a great truck engine that could take much abuse and an absolute flailing.
@billyhack96735 ай бұрын
The CSB V8 was probably the greatest industrial design of the 20th century. Thank you, General Motors!

It makes me proud to be an American and a wild and crazy (virtual) Czechoslovakian guy looking for big breasted American chicks! Just like Steve Martin and Dan Ackroyd!

There is that freakish resemblance of the Chevrolet Small Block V8 to the V8 that Tatra Motors of Czechoslovakia built before and after WWII. And Zora’s father was a Tatra engineer. The CSB was an over square pushrod with no rocker arm shafts and had a “squish” combustion chamber design just like the Tatra V8. It’s more than a coincidence. And both engines have the same incredible sound. The unmistakeable sound of a high performance over square V8.

I met Tommy at the Corvette Museum and we discussed a project together with Dave McLellan where the ZR-1 would be featured in a movie. Both Men were open and enthusiastic regarding anything to do with featuring and promoting the ZR-1. (Bars aren't necessary to the process ... but they sure don't hurt ;-) Long Live the Legends! ^v^

I so appreciate this open and honest dialog - I just purchased my 4th Corvette; 2007 2LT, 2012 GS 3LT, 2016 Z06 3LT, 2023 Z51 3LT - these videos are essential to the future of the Corvette brand, yet, everyone, yes everyone there looks like me - if the Corvette brand has a chance of living it cannot come from me or those in this video; I believe the C8 has the ability to establish a new and younger American sports car enthusiast. I so encourage you to do the same open forum, but limit the age to 45, change the format to address this essential group - don't stop selling to the Baby Boomers, but that is not the future of Corvette. The one aspect that had me puzzled about the second generation Corvette Stingray was the transverse mounted leaf-spring for the rear suspension. It was odd that for a sportscar, it had a rear suspension spring akin to what was seen on pickup trucks of that era.

The second generation Corvette is still so Beautiful, had a 1965 many, many years ago and wish I still owned it, Presently own an 8th generation Stingray. Still difficult calling it a Stingray, to me the real Stingray's were the C2's and no other.
