Some great camera angles, coupled with ample lighting. Too many YT mechanics and DIY-ers fail in this respect.

I wouldnt worry about the end. That’s happens 50% of the time. Most roll it back if the Jack and drag it out anyways. Great detailed video! Well done.

I never knew there were 2 other screws until I watched another video recently! I was wondering if he would catch the 2 screws underneath

Hi Buck I am removing my engine for the 1st time this weekend, the only thing in your video is do yo have to remove the starter motor completely to lower engine and transmission or is it just the wire that came off thanks in advance Larry 👍

Well, as you probably guessed, I don't check my YT page as often as I should. Sorry. To answer your question, I removed the wires only and the starter came off with the engine/trans. How did the removal go for you? Did you make a video and did you drop the engine like me???? I hope not!! Good luck

Thanks for the video, almost have my 79 engine out. Just got 3 more things to disconnect, I’m so excited. Been watching so many videos but nothing compares to just hands on learning. I’ve been so scared to work on the bus but it’s teaching me a lot same with the KZfaq videos it’s nice to see someone mess up cause shit happens lol I’m gonna be care with the jack hopefully doesn’t slip out

I am also very happy and grateful that I found this video. very interesting and instructive when cable by cable goes through and what all the components are and its function. I think many people who have a bus with 2L fuel injection can benefit greatly from this.👍🙏

Thanks for the video mate. There are very few, if any, showing the gearbox being removed while attached to the motor. The manuals (Bentley and Haynes) both recommend dropping them together if they are both coming out. Was it caught on the gearbox mount - nose cone end? Seemed to be high at that end. What’s your plan for the rest of it? The bodywork looks like the typical British bus! You doing a full restoration or just driving it and patching as you go? Good work and good luck.
