You cn find the answers from the book with the history of Dom Pérignon 🙊 i also made a video of the OEnotheque/P2/3. But simple answer is longer ageing on lees.

Lol 😂 the book is timeless hence it is a collection of notes and points starting from 2005 following the development of the cuvées. There will always be new vintages and i start to follow their progress too i was actually thinking of ways how to share this to all who bought my book so they can keep up ☺️ the future predictions for cuvées developments dont change when one new cuvée is added. ☺️

yeah surely. but for now there is still so much to discover and the book is current for years to come because of the extensive work done on the future predictions. Also the photos of bottles are timeless. a 1934 Dom Pérignon will always be a 1934 Dom Pérignon does not matter if a 2015 has been released or if we are living in 2024 or 2028.. :) I made the book in purpose like this. every Dom Pérignon lover will get the understanding of the vintages and how they evolve upon reading the book. Also a personal journey how my taste evolved during the decades of drinking. :)

I altho think the experience from the 2012 is even higher. its something insane. but yeah i have hundreds of insane moments and i’m going to share all of them here. Your words mean alot, i planned my content for youtube and all socials for a couple of years before I found the right angles and the book of Dom Pérignon of couse is crucial on that. I’m always drinking the best bottles with friends. and I’m not worried about my numbers, I have a plan for the next couple of years to focus on creating top notch content and we will then see where we are at with numbers after. I’m in for the journey, spending time writing long replies like this to comments. Santé!

yes longer videos are here to stay, weekly/bi-weekly coming now and soon weekly. i age some bottles for my own consumption yes. but mainly i drink bottles that find me. it would take decades to age prestige cuvée's to perfection so its "easier" to just drink the ready ones. :) for me storage is always temporary hence each bottle i have, has a destiny to be drank.

you are right. even like in the Nanny (tv-series) they drink it. and many love it for the bottle. this is a true gem if you can find some from the 80s its really magical immortal wines and can also find them for nice prices even below 500€ :)

this is such an amazing great topic that I will do a video to answer it. but short answer i have had a lot of disappointments and i always prepare for them. now i have less, much less since I am very particular on what I'm buying. but the first one of these series that I record that is a complete dissapointment i will of course also record and share it. the bad bottles are a huge part of this obsession of mature champagnes and more of the mediocre bottles.. many people who drink them and share photos on internet have not experienced what is an actual perfect bottle and when they do they need to recalibrate their whole taste to adjust to the new reality. thank you so much for this question!!

@EdwardOfChampagne not know there was a 1981 cristal will try get a bottle the earliest dom perignon I had was a 1965 I only get good bottles 40s bottle you must have good contacts to get them if you get some please post a video

yeah for Cristal just need to be sure of the bottle condition and the history of the bottle. anything less than a perfect notlte and you won't be able to taste anything :( you must have misspelled hence there is no '65 Dompe made. 61,62,64, 66 and 69 only from the 60s. yes my contacts are superb for acquiring bottles, I've been at this for over 14 years.. :)

actually that is Riedel Chardonnay glass. was the one had there. I prefer the Riedel Veritas Champagne glass normally for the 2013 Dompe.
