I heard on a news report that chemical sunscreen is bad for marine life so they are banned in Hawaii. I'll be sticking to mineral sunblock
@ianjarrett74494 күн бұрын
Mineral/inorganic sunscreens work mostly in the same way chemical/organic sunscreens do. They absorb about 95% of UV and reflect/scatter roughly 5% of UV rays.

@Radjehuty26 күн бұрын
This is not accurate. "Chemical" sunscreens do not get absorbed into your skin to work. They form a film on your skin and convert UV to heat. Zinc and titanium dioxide do not primarily reflect UV. They only start to reflect UV at the very long wavelengths and into the visible wavelengths hence the white cast. Your camera is looking at the UVB wavelengths which is why it's showing dark even on the mineral side clearly showing those wavelengths are not being reflected.

🚨🚨🚨for effective sunscreen let on the side American sunscreen (octocylene, avobenzone 🤢) and go to Europe or Australia with the new filters. Take larocheposay or P20 with spf50+ ! Like that you will have a very high UVA protection. The P20 rieman hyperpigmentation has a protection for UVA over than 60!!! You’re welcome!❤❤❤ As well let on the side the korean sunscreen, because the resistance of the protective film is not enought, is like just a moisturizer cream! Try Anessa, much more better

@happening_quietlyАй бұрын
As an esthetician, who does skin care for a living, you couldn’t be more wrong. Oxybenzone can cause some issues, possibly having to do with the liver, but has no backing in causing cancer. Some sunscreens are now getting rid of oxybenzone in their product 80% of physical aging is because of the sun so you do need SPF. You do realize that freckles and melanomas are different, right? One is genetic, the other can be cancerous.

If its absorbs into the skin, why do you have to reapply every two hours? A video on how long you can wear it would be great.
@MB-tb6wo3 ай бұрын
Chemical sunscreen will degrade slowly in sunlight and needs to be reapplied to maintain max strength, physical sunscreen will not break down and my derm said it’s not essential to reapply but it may fade in areas with sweat and oil throughout the day. It’s not the time that’s important but the sun exposure for reapplication but doctors and products say every two hours just as a rule of thumb

Sunblock is physical and sunscreen is chemical, i like sunblock too, cuz it can protect you without waiting for 10-15 mnt, so the sun protection can work from the start after you finished apply your sun protection, while the chemical one is doing the opposite, you need to wait for 10-15 mnt before going under the sun, but usually physical sun protection are giving you a whitecast, it is not dark skin friendly, so i choose chemical sunscreen over physical sunblock🤧🙏🏻✨

Can we use on this sunscreen on oily and acne skin
@DoraSometimes3 ай бұрын
Absolutely, you just have to choose appropriate ones. There are some Korean sunscreens that are hydrating enough so you don't have to "suffocate" your skin with, firstly, moisturiser and then sun protection. I guess too much creams on your face (if you have oily, acne prone skin) can/will lead to clogged pores and acne, so I think this is a good way to, at least try, to avoid it. I think channel "Alice in the rabbit hole" talks a lot about this subject: Korean skincare (sunscreens), acne, but maybe she has dry skin...nevertheless, she is well educated so you'll undoubtedly find what you're looking for. Oh, and there's also "Lab muffin". Michelle is, I think, a chemist and has wide knowledge about this and other topics. I hope this helps 🤷🏻♀️

Lab muffin, a cosmetic chemist with years of experience that I like to watch, doesn’t agree with what you said in this video. She has videos addressing both the claims of chemical sunscreens entering the bloodstream, being unsafe and so on, and one about it destroying sea life. She basically said it’s safe and not like these claims at all. I highly recommend watching those if interested.

I didn't hear here anything about "one of the being better". They are both much better options than now wearing sunscreen at all and also what suits your skin better.
