No brother. It's not BS. When you buy an Iphone or a Samsung , you pay the brand more. Not the components inside that phone or whatever it is. When you pay $1000 for the phone, more then half of that money that you pay, are for the brand (just because it says Samsung or Iphone). The actual components are very cheap !

@sorinbratila6385 I know that. My point (crudely put) is that the supply chain for such tech is worldwide. The chips from TSMC alone cost $5 per unit at scale. So, I do not believe that the labour, glass, rare earth minerals, metals, machining, supply chain, assembly, programming, quality control, packing and storage costs $5 per unit. I may be wrong, but my spider senses are tingling.
