Hi, how did you get the mold out of the styrafoam box? Does it stick to the bottom/sides?

I know I'm a little late... But I have a few questions and hope someone can help me out before I spend 1000s. 1.What happens to the large chunks of rock salt that get trapped inside the concrete and crushed coral mix, does it all dissolve during the freshwater soak process or could trap pieces in the mix spike my salinity one day, should a tang graze to hard and chip away a piece of concrete revealing a chunk of rocksalt? 2. After completely drying from the fresh water soak will I need to put the rocks in RODI water with my salt mix for an additional month or so of curing to remove phosphate from the freshwater, or do I let them dry out and completely solidify first before exposing them to saltwater? 3. Do I need to use both rock salt chucks and fine rocksalt or can I just use big chunks, and if not why would both be ideal? Thanks, any info from anyone who's actually done this would be greatly appreciated.

I have a question. If it's made of cement, will there be an issue with silicates? Will this material undergo chemical reactions with seawater?

I see this video is 5 years old. Curious as to how the cement has held up in salt water. I wanted to do this but many people are saying salt water will break down the cement and cause it to crumble in just a few years. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

I loved the whole thing! Thank you guys, good job!!! The best advice to me was starting out for the first time because that was the hardest thing for me to do. From picking the right tank and what to with it to what fish would get along with each other. I love going into the store. They help me a lot and give good advice!!!

Brian is the reptile king. Always will be too. He's the king foe a reason. He has inspired MILLIONS of people to not be afraid of them and had shown them that they are no different than a puppy. They have different care routines but they are smart and special in so many different ways. Cant believe this happened. He will be forever missed. His aquarium is going to be the best tribute ever also

I have no reptiles, but I have fallen in love with them. I started watching Brian 2 years ago... and I never stopped. However... I had NO IDEA HOW LOVED and how many people had Brian in their lives. I never knew about Animalcom (is that how it's written? I'm not sure. I was still learning who Brian was and was and will be. I was still "getting to know him" right around the time he got the diagnosis. My mother suffered and died from pancreatic cancer. When he said what he was diagnosed with, I just felt so bad. I KNEW what Brian was heading for, and I just felt such compassion for him. I knew 90% of people with that type of cancer don't make it. I saw what exquisite and pure, unadulterated agony and pain does to the strongest person I'd EVER known.... My mom was gone in 7 weeks after her diagnosis... now this was in 1996. I know they've made serious advances in the treatment of that Mother Tucking Monster! I've strayed from my original intent writing this... I'll get back on track..apologies. I've never been one to feel bad and sad when someone who's been battling with cancer or any other horrible disease is released from that "Prison of Pain." Ķ I rejoice, knowing they are to finally going to be freed and released from their mortal coil, as Hamlet so eloquently put it. Brian has had his ass KICKED by THE MOST PAINFUL OF ALL CANCERS!! He's now in "Hospice". Do you know what Hospice REALLY IS? IT'S HEAVEN'S V.I.P.Lounge at "Paradise's Airport"! When someone is taken there... their battle is almost... finally over... and ..HE HAS WON!!! He's won...,Brian was apologizing for not beating cancer!!😳 You guys, be sad for you but be happy for him! Brian had been given his wings!! He's been given clearance. In a very short amount of time, he will be taxiing down the Runway, just waiting for his greens light so he can TAKE OFF AND FLY AWAY!!! He'll be free from agony. He's going to be surrounded by everything and everyone he's ever loved and lost! He'll be released from the guilt he feels for leaving his friends and family and us... his fans... his Tribe. We are "losing" one of the rarest human beings I've ever known about. We are heartbroken, and we feel cheated!! You're thinking, "How can somebody we love SO SO SOOOO MUCH leave us?? ...That's not fair....TOTALLY NOT FAIR...for us left behind... stuck on earth for a little while longer. Please.. .embrace your sad feelings! Cry, write, sing, scream, beat your dashboard ( That's a particular favorite of mine.)All of us deserve to grieve... but don't be sad for Brian. Congratulate him!!🎊 He's made it!! Boot Camp is over!!! I have a few ideas where I'm going when it's time for my ride outta here. But I know Brian is Christian. He's going to meet his Lord God. That's his vision, and that WILL BE his destination. He'll be surrounded by the glorious white light of peace and love... BUT...I also know that he's going to meet Steve Irwin, and they are going to wrangle THE BIGGEST CROC of them all!! From what I've been told and taught, there are no limits in Heaven!! Excess is best up there!! Be happy for Brian. Here's a toast 🍾🥂 to Brian Barczak!! ONE of the most unique and loved men I've ever known about in my life.! And to his family, God bless you. The pain of loss is about the toughest pain of all. You might not be able to "see" him in the classic sense of that word but trust and believe me when I say, no man with that bright a light is ever really "gone". You'll feel him when you hold one of your glorious animals. You'll see his smile in the face of the children who will be coming to your aquarium. You'll hear his laughter every time something tickles your funny bone and you will feel him holding you when you feel sad and you miss him... he's not going to be very far away from you EVER. Say his name every day. I don't know Brian's family but I love every one if them. ❤

I have watched and love Brian for years! We have 12 corns, I am not into BPs. Not long after Brian shared on is vlog that he has cancer my husband was diagnosed with cancer, my husband's battle goes on. I got my first snake before watching Brian but I loved every glimpse of snakes he would show and as he added more animals, I loved seeing those too. RJ was there as long as I have been watching but much smaller, I think speedy came a little after or maybe I just didn't make a mental note of him. Zeus and Artie were often around. I really do miss those days, the pre Reptarium years. I like those ones too but I miss the quaintness of the older ones. I am glad that Brian has a healthy look at his life ending at this time, but I am still hoping and praying for miracles...Lazarus! If he does leave us, may we meet in person eventually. My husband saved so much money to surprise me with a visit to see Brian, then Covid hit and life happened and now that chance is gone and because of my husband's cancer so is that money. 💔❤‍🩹

Buy reef rubble (the little chunks of live rock) sprinkle that over the base rock and it will colonize the bacteria and algaes that we want. I Wish garfdotorg still had their site up.

I have a brackish tank, you mentioned needing an ammonia sorce for saltwater cure with added live rock, I think if I did a water change on my brackish tank, I could use the aged brackish water to make my salt water with Instant ocean marine seasalt to 1.025 should contain enough ammonia to cure reef rock,
