Contrave didn't work for me. No seizures or opiates in my regimen but it made me feel dizzy and head-heavy. Might work best for people who have problems with smoking and drinking or who are emotional eaters, but I found it just wasn't worth the side effects for the small amount of weight loss. Zepbound and terzepitide seem to have yielded much better results. Like you said, everyone is different.

Shift work is so important, especially in the medical field. I did gain weight but it’s mostly due to me moving neighborhoods and being less active.

what can i do when my weight regain is antidepressants even if you're eating so little? i left the medicine 2 weeks into it and it has been 2 months already and my weight wont budge.

All you need to know now is getting your zepbound prescription filled is a miracle in itself. Been on it for 2 months now.. down 22 lbs. 247 down to 225. Now no one seems to have it in stock. I was on the 5mg going to 7.5. Can't find it. So I guess I have 3 weeks left on my two remaining shots and its back to business as usual. But at least ill be a whole lot lighter and will keep the good diet and extra physical activity going.

zepbound for weigh loss. Just imagine taking an injection that makes you puke and shiat and feel seek. That sounds like a weight loss treatment to me, but usually its from a stomach flu or food poisoning or the flu in general.

This is a great conversation. Surprised more people havent viewed. Might want to rename with the words semaglutide or glp-1 to get attention.

The major problem that’s the downside is that insurance still doesn’t cover it in most cases..the price is costly!!

I was on Mounjaro for PCOS for a year, and then my insurance started requiring a PA and denied it. They let me get on Ozempric and they are now requiring a PA to get on that. Waiting to see if they deny it also. Had PCOS for 15 years and been on the max dosage of Metformin with like no progress. Mounjaro/Ozempric was actually helping. It sucks that the medical field doesn't really give a crap about PCOS, there is no medicine that is FDA approved for PCOS.

Mounjaro and Zepbound are the exact same medication (Tirzepatide). Exact same dosage levels too, and same injector pen. Ozempic and Wegovy are the same medication too (Semaglutide). Only real differences are that the top dose of Wegovy is higher than the top dose of Ozempic (2.4 vs 2.0mg), and Wegovy injects with a single-use pen, while Ozempic’s is a multi-use pen (more complicated, but more environmentally-friendly). 🌳

I’m so glad we are starting to look at obesity as more of a food addiction rather then weakness! I’m on day 4 and feel great. No side effects yet. Thank you so much ! This was soooooo informative!

Have you had people stay on Contrave for years a do well? What's the longest you know of someone being on Contrave?

It’s so frustrating! I had success on .25 . Only one month of treatment, my authorization will likely expire before it’s available again.
