This is the best video I have ever seen for politics discussed. It was neutral, and informative. Please do a part 2, so much has happened after you posted this! Biden pulled out of the race etc! Hoping our country goes up from here. Blessings to everyone no matter your opinions and beliefs. Also this was my first vid of the podcast. I am a registered Independent, and would be great to see a dive into Robert Kennedy since he is representing the Independent Party. I have never heard of centrist though. So far imo I side with Trump more, but I am worried about how he is going about the trans/gender issues and Women for abortion. I feel that those topics are very complex and I think thats why its been such a difficult journey in handling them. I think it all comes down to the situation at hand and all should be respected and like you said don't force your beliefs on anyone. If this makes sense. Also really think it would be cool if one day both parties could somehow work together. Cause I liked a lot of the stuff Biden tried to do that you spoke about. I want to see some sort of collaboration of the democracy in the future. At the end of the day I just want someone who is a strong leader and will protect us, but also has a kind heart. I want the leader to be like the father of our country. I want America to be respected again or people to respect it (don't mean that in a forceful or mean way) So many soldiers fought for our country and other countries. And with all our problems, I still love this country. We are free to do so much that we don't realize it. Thank you to all the soldiers who sacrificed so much for us. 🙏🏻

The borders spiel at the beginning is without context. The Roman EMPIRE was expansionist and oppressive, just like the US and other western countries are guilty of. They wanted to expand their territory (not borders, as borders did not exist until the 20th century) to amass more land and resources by stealing it from other people by force. Their main strength was military, just like the US. The roman empire then failed to manage its influx of population due to how many people they 'conquered'. For example look at France and its longstanding racsim and refusal to acknowledge its ex-colonies of algeria, congo, and morocco. The country is xenophobic and doesn't want brown or black people in their country, however...they colonized those people and expect them to not be a part of their country. Borders reenforce this. Borders, passports, etc are a new concept that states use to enforce policy and violence on people, as well as to divide us. It distances us from each other, creating an "other". "We" vs "them". For example, indigenous people to the Americas were always migratory, moving up and down the continents, now the border separates native people by state nationality. If you agree the US colonialists were bad, why not question their establishment of borders as well? Then the government blames the illegal immigrants for stealing jobs, which has continuously been proven untrue. They often take the jobs no one wants to do here, like pick produce and clean other people's houses/establishments. The fentanyl thing is also without context, fentanyl was invented by big pharma here in the US. There is an opioid crisis not because people from the other side of the border are pushing drugs, but largely because the US is not a happy country, by many standards the US and it's quality of life ranks as a '3rd world' country. Do happy, fulfilled, optimistic people abuse drugs/alcohol? I appreciate the unbiased break down of the candidates, but I encourage you to look outside the 2 party system, as well the empire we live under. These people do not care for us, they will not free us. Only we free us.

I appreciate the expansion, but I want to point out that fentanyl is indeed coming from outside the border. It is being imported from China, smuggled through the Mexican border, and laced into counterfeit pharmaceuticals. The official government website confirms this, which coincides with the drug spike observed alongside the increase in border crossings. Although many have been confiscated, not all have been intercepted. I always put it this way though: Just as you wouldn’t leave your house unlocked or with the door wide open, we shouldn't have wide open borders. If you believe it’s not an issue, you should consider allowing strangers into your own home while you’re not there and see just how many of your belongings go untampered. Every country has border control and the USA should never be made as an exception to that rule on the basis of their history. Every country has been colonized or taken over yet the USA is the only one expected to pay for it and it’s such a wild concept that a country is expected to commit self-harm because of it.
