The Kellerman typology - appreciating your comparison! You're right, I would not appreciate a channel dedicated to Stats and Excel, but my husband who is obsessed with Excel would - I'll point him to your channel! Thank your for the Northouse chapter roundups, they have saved me a lot of reading time, and allowed me to just read the most useful chapters. I am finding increasingly that none of the models seem to really fully fit the bill alone, so I'm beginning to consider the possibilities of multiple models overlaid together and how exactly that would look and work. Followership alone seems to lack something as a leadership model, but equally cannot be ignored in any good leadership model as followers ultimately do possess a level of power which they give to a leader willingly.

Hi do you know how to change this data for each question to its own dedicated pie chart?
@DavidDunaetzАй бұрын
In general, bar charts are superior to pie charts. If you're using Google Forms, you can see that Google creates them for you under "responses." On Excel, it takes a bit of work. Here's a video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hsuDrNGp0LCRhX0.html

I really appreciate your videos. I don't understand why the second hypothesis isn't significant if the absolute value of r is .24 and the p value is .13 one tailed. Could you please explain?
@DavidDunaetzАй бұрын
A correlation is significant if p < .05. In this case, p > .05 (because p = .13), so it's not significant.
@jennlynn6208Ай бұрын
@DavidDunaetz as long as the p value is below .05, then it is significant. It doesn't matter if r is less than p value if it isn't below .05, correct?
@DavidDunaetzАй бұрын
@@jennlynn6208 Yes, that's correct. Significance only depends on the p value.

How do we decide whether to use the equal variance t-test or the unequal variance t-test?
@DavidDunaetz8 ай бұрын
In general, use the equal variance t-test unless you have a reason to assume the samples have unequal variance. This assumption would be rare; our null hypothesis is generally that the two samples come from the same population.

Prof., For you what is your favorite leadership style?
@DavidDunaetz8 ай бұрын
I think the different leadership theories are valuable in different contexts. The Behavioral Approach (Chapt. 4) is almost always useful: Leaders should be focused on both the task and the relationships. As a Christ-follower, I believe that Servant Leadership is very important. Jesus has called me to serve others, and I've found that walking in his path is the best way to have a meaningful life.

In the case study, you're getting all your data from a single occurrence of a phenomenon. In a phenomenological study, you're studying many different instances of the phenomenon to draw out general principles.

@DavidDunaetz9 ай бұрын
John Calvin wrote his in Latin. There have been several translations into French, the first of which was done by Calvin himself. The more modern translations (e.g., since the 19th century) are easier to read because so many words have changed spelling. Here's a link to one: archive.org/details/institutiondelar00calvuoft/page/n7/mode/2up

@@DavidDunaetz Thanks for that! Do you find his French to more colloquial than his Latin, which was obviously written for a more scholarly audience?
@DavidDunaetz9 ай бұрын
@@martianuslucianus4485 I wouldn't use the word colloquial. It was written in very good French, like a polished sermon, but not overly academic or difficult to understand.
