So I'm curious about something, I've heard that someone came to Boom and Pitched the idea for Shattered Grid (Power Rangers) it was rejected and then a few years went by and Shattered Grid was released, I'm curious to know that if something like that could happen if you took someone's pitch and then made it into something later

I haven't started writing yet, but my biggest issue is getting a artist cause Image and DarkHorse wont publish the former won't publish your work unless you have pages already made. But Dark Horse won't touch it unless you have a full team.

I would recommend you find an artist online. There are a lot of artists on Reddit searching for projects to showcase their talents and online portfolio artist sites like Deviant Art that can help you find someone.

All I can say is that this dude is already a legend and a living legend. Legendary creator thats sums it up. I wish he did more on Batman and did more with Ghostmaker because the Ghostmaker rogues gallary was starting to look awesome. The Punchline stuff was the best to hear. I am not sure whats going on at DC they seem to pass on a lot of new IP such as Something is Killing the Children, The Boys and Second Coming. Its their loss I guess. They even passed on Gieger from Geoff Johns. I hope they bring Vertigo back. Boom is awesome too :) We need more Ronin Island

This - sometimes called “Johnsian Literalism” - is how Johns is able to bring back characters who were broken and abandoned by previous editorial staff and creators who didn’t know how to make them sell. Because once the Modern/Deconstruction Age hit, the characters and their histories became overcomplicated - which was detrimental to characters who weren’t all that popular to begin with. By simplifying the character to one fundamental pillar, he makes the character feel genuine to who they were supposed to be, and it also gives him built-in themes to work the story around. Most people criticize characters being “2-Dimensional”, but Johns totally gets away with it because he’s in an industry that tends to go the opposite way and usually ends up trying too hard and messing everything up

Not one interview with an artist in this series. I would recommend artists DON'T go into comics. They only promote writers now. Better off in computer games or animation. Or write and draw your comics. It's not possible to build profile in the comics industry anymore.

Here, at the end of this 3 part interview, the only thing that I don't understand is "how the view count is so small"? Incredible content, thank you very much for this, such an insightful interview about the business and the creative process. And also, very eye-opening for starting creatives: do what you can with the tools that you have. it's not going to be perfect at first, but you will learn with the process, and the resulting art could open some doors and make connections that will help you develop yourself (and the art) even further.

Definitely like that answer that Brian as a relic gave that all that he writes it's not for everyone and it shouldn't be I definitely agree to that like it's the sub degree it's like the pandering you know you write what you want to write. Everyone's going to like it but as long as you like it and went where The Story Goes you know that's that's all that matters you know there's going to be a fan base that's going to follow you know as long as you know you tell the story that you want to tell and people will follow you giving it the chance Definitely some of his best work I've really enjoyed over the years is definitely Wonder Woman and that was one of the ones I wasn't expecting the like during the New 52 but I fell in love with that Wonder Woman run is Superman stuff I truly enjoy hundred bullets also Loveless was good . Yeah I can definitely see that particular point about you know the series making the suggestion that we should push beyond the boundaries of what we know to discover more Yeah I definitely you see that point that makes the Sears much more intriguing to really go further into the unknown to really understand it better for the unknown to be known and to some degree have a better appreciation of it. It's truly astonishing how Al Ewing mnd works. It's very much a mixture for me at least like he does have some level of inspiration from Alan Moore and a little bit of grant Morrison. And it's really cool that you interviewed him because we definitely get deeper into the mind of a Creator like this because you know from fellow Creator to create yourself you're able to dig a little bit deeper than the average interviewer cuz how to mine's kind of are so creative and yet like it's like you could discover things that really I mean he can talk about the other interviews but you have such a level and death with your interview that you could bring out certain details out of a particular creator that usually most interviewers can't really dig that deep
